The silveries are becoming scarcer these days. People living near their abode tell me it's the nesting season which makes sense.

Though very common in its country of origin, this Sanderling can rarely be found in the Philippines during migration season. In my 4 years of birding, this is only the 2nd time I came across this tiny shorebird.
The photobomber is a Kentish Plover.
Taken in Bato, Leyte in October of 2015 the morning after the storm Lando.
