combination man na xa sir sa voltage + sa clockspeed. in my experience, as long as the clockspeed is matched with the right voltage, dili man mo hinay. and then there's the factor of kernels
refer lang to xda sir para ani.
think of it this way, by default, ur phone is discharging battery power at a much larger rate than it should be in anticipation of you using heavy applications. so with undervolting, imo lang gi force nga pa gamyan ang discharging rate. mao na kung ma sobraan pud, dili pud nuon mo on imo phone....
there are thresholds for each clock speed state as to what the lowest voltage can be.
pls correct me if naa pa'y mas kahibaw ani. ^_^
nakasuway sad ko aning otterbox before sa ako dhd, desire s, sensation xe and S2. no question jud sa protection kay protected kaau imo fon. ang problema lang ani is ma bulky ang fon nya ang iya rubber edges, kusog kaau mo dakop ug abog tungod kay magpilit-pilit nig kadugayan (basin tungod ni sa humidity sa atong lugar)
ang otterbox model nga built in na ang screen protector is ang defender series. ang commuter series, walay built in pro naa pakapin screen protector.
I wouldn't advice people doing over/under clocking/volting on their phone. Your phone's performance has been optimized for good by Samsung already. Yes you can undervolt and overclock CPU Speed, but bear in mind that you are tampering pre-defined values already measured by the manufacturer. Putting it at extreme measurements(under or over) would tantamount your phone to be broken sooner or later.
I've used a lot of apps e.g. CpuTuner, SetCPu and even modded scripts (even design some myself) but I come to the conclusion that some values you actually set can greatly exert a feedback e.g. the normal excessive heat, some apps fail (some apps are not design to run on high CPU speeds) and worst case scenario.. phone would just simply shutdown.
My recommendation to those who like to tweak their phones is stay on the 'borderline' of what is define and not go overboard. It's one thing to say that you can give extra performance and battery life on your phone currently. It's another thing to say, you yourself is the one going to destroy it... in the long run.
Just my advice...
my wife's s3 drains about 5% battery doing nothing at 12midnight up to 8am. is there something wrong with it or normal ra ni?
