but it would have been better if he prevented this type of loss, a TKO especially in the 1st round...he could have lasted 'til the 12th round, could have lost a unanimous decision or split basta d lang TKO....'coz it would only show that his opponent is much stronger than him..
many of us will say "it's ok for him to lose since he's still 21, raw and has many years left but what if this defeat will be his hindrance from achieving greatness?! y bother losing, just to follow the footsteps of those great athletes who conquered previous defeat? wherein he can be great by staying unbeaten?! I know it's damn hard to be perfect but this should be every athletes goal, not only boom2's..."
sayangan lang ko sa iyahang gipakita against ponce de leon, kaya ra unta niya nya saonz ta man matod pa sa iyang trainer, sobrahan kaisog, down hinuon...kitag bubuyog! hehehhehe....para nako nindot nga iehemplo si boom2 sa mga aspiring boxers kaysa kang pacquiao kay walay bisyo, dli sugarol...cge lang matod pa sa mga nagunsa sa duyan..'til next time...
One has to win and one has to lose, and winning won't be on our side all the time. Whether it's an unanimous decision or an early 1st round KO, kinsa ba'y boxer ang gusto mapildi? Wala. But sad to say, one really has to go down. Di na mahimo nga daog ang duha. Boom Boom just didn't try to "
prevent" such kind of loss but he tried to "
prevent" from losing either. He lost to a more experienced, better and even a little luckier boxer in Ponce de Leon.
For sure Boom Boom didn't want it that way either. We expect to much that we come to the point that we think our prized athletes are invincible and could no longer be defeated. Athletes strive and train hard to become the best, we should appreciate their efforts. But no matter how hard they train, they're are always people who'll be better than them, or maybe a little luckier in the case of Ponce de Leon.
