filipinos looking down on their own is a cliche.

don't take filipino hackers lightly. They maybe few in numbers but we have one of the best hackers in the world. Take love bug/Iloveyou virus for example.... that took down US computer system, and that was almost 12 yrs ago.

d ba it was you who thought that filipino hackers are just kids defacing chinese sites? now think again

    Read my post again.
Nowhere in my post did i say that filipino hackers are just kids defacing chinese sites.

What i said was that "defacing a website can be done by a kid". It is not rocket science.
Even you can do it (just use your own website, if you have one, if you want to try for learning purposes).

Initially after the DDoS attack of the chinese, there was no immediate action from the filipinos.
That is why my reaction was " Unsa man ila baws beh".

And it was followed by " If kaning mga Filipino hackers maka "compromise" ug mga online computers/bot net unya ma-remote control ni nila para pag DDoS attack, aw kani makaingon ta nga naay laban ang mga Filipino hackers. "

Why did i say these nga naay laban ang mga Filipino hack3rs?
Because they will have an advantage over the Chinese. Being that there are more computer and servers in China than in R.P. Hence they can deploy botnets/zombie armies on a lot of servers/computers. And when the time comes to launch the attack, all it takes is a remote command from the hack3r/s. The source code is already implanted on the botnet computers. It will be the botnet computers that will do the attacking and not from the hack3r computers.

I'm surprised why some of us acknowledged the 'I love you virus' creator as one of the best hackers in the world. The virus is even a modified version of the 'Melissa' worm. He just used a very good social engineering technique by using a subject "I love you" where email recipients do not know its malicious intent as such the virus propagated rapidly and took down computer systems all over the world.
