Hi guys, I found this thread buried somewhere using the search feature I have been offered an opportunity to work in Fairchild and is expected to start on March. I am hearing / reading good things about the company, so I guess going moving to Cebu to be employed in Fairchild is a good move. I'm from Cavite BTW (yet to start learning Cebuano, but that is already in the to-do list). Thank you

Thanks guys I would be assuming an IT function. I was told that the Penang plant is going to be closed this year, and as such, a number of positions there would be transferred to Cebu, one of which is the role I would be hired for

Yep it was posted in Jobstreet, but a friend of mine who works for Fairchild is the one who referred me to the post

Yep. I have been working here in Cavite for the past few years. I guess the position offered and the experience to work somewhere far from home is both exciting and appealing to me

A relative of mine started working there after she graduated from college. After a couple of years, she was able to buy for herself a house and lot in one of the villages in Opon. Fairchild's one of those stable companies in MEPZ. Good luck on your endeavor, TS.
