Get this from a guy's perspective....

We guys would like our fair share of privacy also. I wouldn't deny that we have more tendency to fool around but it doesn't mean that women doesn't fool around as well. A relationship (any relationship like lovers, marriage, family, or even friends) should be based on trust. Unless you have already proven that the person has broken your trust, then you have the right. Its a way of punishing him/her for breaking your trust. But if hasn't broken your trust yet, then you should trust him with all your heart. Nevertheless, I believe that one could never hold smoke with his bare hands. In one point or another, the truth will come out. Its like shit, the older it gets, the more stink it produces.

Furthermore, people who tends to be overprotected without any reason to will tend to lose the person they love. People will get irritated with it. Choked is a more used word. You want some air yourself. Its not a question if he is hiding or not something in his mobile phone. It is more of a "I need some privacy too".

personally, i don't mind it if my girl looks at my messages. most of them are hers anyway.

on the other hand, guys who are not too keen on letting their girlfriends look at their text messages either just want their privacy respected (maybe they also don't look at their girlfriend's text messages) OR, they are hiding something.

I was like this before.... I had 2 to 3 cellphones/sim cards, and my ex didn't know bout the 2 numbers. Sometimes gani, I don't let her see the messages in my "LEGAL" cellphone. I even have a secret code or language with my close friends whenever we talk about "chicks" or other things.

If you can relate, I can be compared to Battousai the Slasher.....

Right now, I'm just Kenshi Himura, the Wanderer... I always show my gf my text msgs... one reason is that I have nothing to hide from her, because I'm not the woman-slayer anymore...

I won't care about your INBOX... But the SENT ITEMS should all be accounted for. And that includes the credit balance you have, as well as the billing statement if you're on post-paid.
