From what i can see from the problem given, there is an infinite number of answers to it. Even for for example all three people sells the eggs for $0, then technically they all have the same amount at the end of the day, they are all bankrupt.
Added to that say we make person 1 with 10 eggs sell his stocks at 1 pesos each, the other one will sell it at 0.333 pesos each, then the last one will sell the eggs at 0.2 peos each, the conditions will still be satisfied. if we try at each person 1 selling the eggs at 2 pesos each, the conditions can still be satisfied. The question one is which is the right?
let a = price of eggs of person 1
b = price of eggs of person 2
c= price of eggs of person 3
From the problem we are given
10a = 30b = 50c
so we can say
f(a) = 3b and f(a) = 5c
now lets plot the equations on a graph f(a) vs b and c
The two lines meet at zeros and increases up to infinity. I dont know how you would do your shortcut(tinamban) on the problem. If you can show how to do the tinamban, that would enlighten us all.
Looking at the graph the most simplest answer to the problem which is at the point the two lines meet, at point 0,0 which means, all of them should just give all the eggs they have.
I think the problem cant be solved due to it being an incomplete problem in the first place. If one or two more conditions are given i think we should be able to find a single or a number of answers other then infinite.
But as always i could be wrong..
