My Point is GTX 480 is still fast than the 5870.. but people bragging about temperature and power consumption... I know how nvidia consumes more power and more temperature.. pero pila man ka GTX 480 user na nangasunog ila video card? why so bothered about that.. and by the way about the price.. depende nana sa mga dealer kon pila ila price kai ngari sa singapore mas mahal gihapon ang ATI..

yes they do shorten the lifespan pero these gpus are rated at certain temperature (max: 105c) before thermal protection(s) kicks in, medyo kulang lang ang info nga how many hours would it take for the gpu to die at maximum temperature, mura ug MTBF (mean time before failure) ba.

GTX 480 is a new technology so it means you need a new system... sa una bitaw reklamo mo nga 500W na kinganlan sa 8 series sa nvidia pero karon nag 750W na ang most common karon... we buy video card in order to have a good performance not to have a low power consumption and low temperature.. wala ko kasabot sa mga tao ngari especially kadto mga naka 5870..... they forgot whats the purpose to have a good video card...

Since when was 500w too much? 500W was a norm in when, 2005? Since when was 750w common? The last time I checked, its NEVER going to happen considering that technology nodes are shrinking every 2-4 years. Shrinking nodes mean lesser power consumption unless you designed it really bad or you were in a rush developing it because you were hurrying up to go home because the office toilet ran out of tissue paper and you crapped there in the morning without wiping your ass. Did the last sentence ring a bell? Oh right, fermi right?

GTX480 is an enthusiast card, not a card for "We". It's not even a card that's made for the masses. How much of the percentage are the enthusiasts I'm mentioning in the overall market are they? 1%-2%?

And don't even call yourself an enthusiast. You <insert synonym of a female dog here> so much about NVIDIA but then I'm pretty sure you can't even afford a SLI setup of these cards. What are you to NVIDIA anyways? Their beloved customer who are early adopters? The men-group cheering squad?

You said a while ago that GTX480 is a new technology. Most new technologies i'm seeing here are about low energy consumption. It's the trend. Saying that GTX480 is a new technology is much more of a brainfart than looking at when was fermi as released and call it as "New Technology". It's out of style and outside of the trend. Perhaps you're better off in a Steam Train which is really dirty while I ride a clean and green Toyota Prius (no, not the recalled broken ones).

wa ko kasabot sa mga nvidia fanboys diri labi na tong nag-sige ug sodomize sa pictures of the GTX480. they forgot what's the purpose of evolving technology. wa pud ko kasabot sa fanboys on praising the card. Will they even not cry about the electric bills, even if the baby is already crying because there's no milk for them to drink, and are they even capable of buying expensive stuff like this.

Perhaps you should stop sodomizing the green baton and look for a real stick. The real one is free and better though. Unlike the green baton, its really hard, not realistic and requires you a 4.5 volt battery for it to operate. Stop giving the International Energy Agency your two middle fingers just because to satisfy your fanboyism. Instead tell NVIDIA to be careful in designing their cards and stop trying hard with marketing while they sit the Piña Colada. Maybe when they come up with a good competitor card, I might just be a fanboy, like you.
