The primary concern of Paul Artadi with Purefoods is that his playing time dwindled down tremendously with Roger Yap, Boyet Bautista and sometimes Noy Castillo and Peter June Simon and felt Purefoods has no longer use of him. Now with Ginebra, he's got Jayjay Helterbrand, Johnny Abbarientos and rookie Macky Escalona to share time with, but with his speed and intensity, Artadi could give Ginebra a big boost off the bench for Helterbrand. Abarrientos is too old and might not be playing next season while Escalona is too young and could learn from more experienced guards. Artadi can be Ginebra's number 2 point guard.

The trade: Because both Ginebra and Purefoods are sister companies, both can't engage in a deal directly with each other. Air21 was involved in the trade sending Artadi to Ginebra.

Murag malabo na siguro si Abarrientos. He's actually contemplating about retiring after last season but decided to stay for another one and said that it's his last. Ginebra has done a great job in their backcourt.

aw, decision sad jud na ni Flying A, but with the kind of play he showed last season, I think he still got some juice left in his shoes..but we'll see

This is a good one especially for Joseph Yeo. With promising rookie Ryan Reyes and well established PBA star Kelly Williams along with him, Sta. Lucia is perfect for Joseph Yeo especially with how he plays. I'd expect a lot of run and gun from Sta. Lucia this season especially from the Reyes-Yeo-Williams combo.

As for Mark Isip, Coca-Cola can groom him to be it's next top big man. Ali Peek has been struggling with injuries lately and badly needs a reliable back-up.
