what's a chups?
ballad
Clutching the body
Half- alive, half – dead
Striving to recollect
Broken pieces
Of a pride and life
What has been
A lonely struggle
The futile strife
Half a dream
Over a million
Suffering, tormented
Marred soul
Destroyed, disfigured
Rejected, humiliated
Being
Alienated, a derelict
Indifferent now
Unmoved, unknown
Hope vanished, stolen
Faith – lost
In agony
Cold
Alone.
Disgruntled lover
May I aim at your heart,
and cut the flesh within?
You took me for granted
when I was about to start
to fall in love with you.
I knew you will head for the doors,
And I, helplessly, was able to
watch you from the windows.
There is no need for you to patch
the brokenness I felt.
To base everything on reason,
is hollow.
Angel's Sin
how come angels cry
and hide behind their
solid wings
when heaven is within
their grasp
their reality, a whisper
closer to our dreams
how come angels fall
like torn leaf
when season's change
a sacrifice they
blindly choose
mortality, divinity, exchanged
how come angels sin
and create a black hole
in their hearts
they fall from grace
and swayed the path
paradise old, to paradise new
a million miles apart
how come angels do
what they do when
they cry and fall and sin
they go down on their
scraped, wounded knees
and are brought home again
Lifeless...
if your heart is full of strife,
don't wish away your life..
if you feel like the man on the moon,
don't lock your heart in an empty room..
like the whispers of the air,
there is someone that really cares..
so remember no matter what you think or say.
the night will always turn to day..
willing prey
your vacant eyes
that haunts the night
lures me in a sweet trance
your groping hands
that tells its tale
denies me of any chance
your deadly kiss
that marks my soul
i writhe and beg... for more
your hellish cry
that cuts the night
tears my heart to the core
you warned me
but i did not heed
you said to stay away
with open arms
and sweet surrender
make me your willing prey
THINGS I CAN DO TODAY
By Francis J. Kong
LISTEN!
There are things you can do today and every day for the rest of your life.
Here’s the perspective of a winner.
I woke up early today, excited over all I get to do before the clock strikes midnight. I have responsibilities to fulfill today. I am important. My job is to choose what king of day I am going to have.
Today I can complain because the weather is rainy, or I can be thankful that the grass is getting watered for free.
Today I can feel sad that I don’t have more money, or I can be glad that my finances encourage me to plan my purchases wisely and guide me away from waste.
Today I can grumble about my health, or I can rejoice that I am alive.
Today I can lament over all that my parents didn’t give me when I was growing up, or I can feel grateful that they allowed me to be born.
Today I can cry because roses have thorns, or I can celebrate that thorns have roses.
Today I can mourn my lack of friends, or I can excitedly embark upon a quest to discover new relationships.
Today I can whine because I have to go to work, or I can shout for joy because I have a job to do.
Today I can complain because I have to go to school, or eagerly open my mind and fill it with rich new tidbits of knowledge.
Today I can murmur dejectedly because I have to do housework, or I can feel honored because I’ve been provided shelter for my mind and body.
Today stretches ahead of me, waiting to be shaped. And here I am, the sculptor who gets to do the shaping.
What today will be like is up to me.
I get to choose what kind of day I will have!
Have a GREAT DAY… unless you have other plans.”
The happiest people don’t necessarily have the best of everything. They just make the best of everything.
[poem ba ni? anyway, ganahan jud kaayo ko.]
the world shifts
as your body moves
i can see the light
i can see your thoughts
i can feel you
as our bodies moved as one.
then i held you tight as we both left the world
to our very own place
where we both can do
what mortals cannot.
then i woke up.
its 11:30 am... geez, im late.

The philosophers have only interpreted the world, in various ways. The point, however, is to change it.
