Sayang bai, if you were here in Manila, you'd surely enjoy the company of the Komikeros -- a loosely formed group of comic artists/art enthusiasts headed by Gerry Alanguilan(http://www.komikero.com) of the Superman:Birthright, Silent Dragon fame among others. Once a month we meet up in San Pablo, Laguna to sketch, draw and everything else related to comics creation. Informal ra gud ang gathering. Basta naa lang mi nga ga-drawing-drawing. Of course, it helps a lot nga naay mga pro-comics creators to share their knowledge and stuff. Usahay mo-apil sad namo nang mga taga-GlassHouse. Naa gani bisayang dako nga artist kauban nila. Kanang si Harvey Tolibao ba -- http://www.glasshousegraphics.com/cr...ibao/index.htm . Gangisi lang pirme pero maayo sad.Originally Posted by cmontoya

hey guys! this is cooL! weee! Good thing there is a thread which caters to comic artists...
hmmm, i have been into dorwing eversince i knew how to hold a pencil (but i draw stick figures that time hehehe)..then anime-ish dorwings. i feel the need to improve my dorwings like dave mckean-y dorwings. it's kinda ambitious, but i think it is worth the try.
i think it is more fun to learn how to draw in school than self-study. i need someone to facilitate and criticize my dorwings...
i'm not a cebuana, but will it accept non-cebu enrollee? uhhh, the embarrassing part is, there are some Visayan terms i'm not familiar with...but i'm coping with it. please accept me. i'm really interested...super interested...i'm looking forward for this one..
i'm a lonely comic illustrator![]()
@bai zerk: I answered a similar question in my Sukolmo thread. I am not worthy to start a comic book drawing club in Cebu. I am back to drawing a piece
of electrical wire (contour drawing) so I do not think I am qualified. But I saw your work before and I think you are qualified enough to call for an eyeball
meeting with dorky_squirrel, dAmNseL jEnY. I am usually off by 4 pm (flex-time) so I can EB 5 up. If we do start a comic book drawing club, do not expect
too much from me because I will pace myself based on the books I have boughtBut I would also love to see the works of hobbyist comic book artists.
I would not mind seeing how your arm works.
@dAmNseL jEnY, you just need to find a Cebuano BF to teach you how to speak Bisaya. I am a Tagalog and I learned how to speak Bisaya by asking my
lady friends not to speak Tagalog to me. I also watched \'Goot da Wanderpol\' before (you were probably still in Elementary judging from your picture).
My problem is that I do not still understand what the priests say when I am unfortunate enough to attend a non-English mass
