    Madmax

    Team : Audio Evolution (audevo)

    car brand : Mitsubishi
car model: 1989 Lancer EL - sing kit
    area: Cebu City

the Madmax projekt started off as a tambay car
to play for a running event in CEBU - "cebu marathon, which
was held the week before SINULOG 2011.

Installation was done in 3 days.

wherein gears from previous systems were to be
    utilized.

it started off with this system below:

    Stage 1: (january 2011)

    seps - auditor 165 seps
    1 amp - powerbass asa 600.4
    subs - (2) 12" comp kicker
    headunit - pioneer 8650
    battery - (1) motolite
    alternator - stock
    deadenning - OEM

Results: we could only play the car audio system for 30 mins max.
then mawawala na ang bass... heheheh dahil hinde na kaya ng kuryente.

    Stage 2: (May 2011)

-- a dedicated amp for the sub was incorporated sa system.

sub amp - soundstream picasso 2000D
alternator - upgraded to 120 amp (surplus)
    headunit - alpine 9855
    * the previous unit suddenly quit on us *

    results

    - tambay sounds could be played for at least an hour already. Jino, our JEDI installer,
did wonders for the two comp 12's. nobody could believe the bass level we were producing
    from the said subs. hehehehehe

    - but still the mid hi's were quite BLAND.
    Midbass was non existent.
Sub bass was loud, but not accurate.
    Midrange - was there somehow.
tweets - well... it made its presence felt, by sometimes bordering to annoyance. the tweeter was
working hard, just not that well.

    - So we decided to put up some upgrades for the next project.

    Stage 3: (August 2011)

Midrange and Tweets - Focal polyglass 165 VS (circa 2006) ; passive cross over utilized

Midbass - Focal polyglass midbass 11 inchers (hehehehehehehe); active

amp for Midrange and Tweets - STEG qmos 220.2

amp for Midbass - STEG qmos 220.2

    Sub - (2) 12" Kicker comps

Sub amp - soundstream picasso 2000D

    Headunit - Alpine 9855

    Battery - (2) stinger SPV 69

    Alternator - 120 amps (surplus)

Deadenning - OEM and some layer of STP

Results - The sound being played was far more enjoyable! worlds apart! a simple set up which could do wonders.

    Install pics:

Poying installed an MDF under the carpet para ma screw namin yung mga equipment under the seats. Hindi pwede velcro velcro sa EMMA eh.

Since sobrang daming wires and sobra na kapal, safety became an issue. Pano pag natapakan yung wires and nadurog yung cover? So, here's Master P. idea.

Fiberglass sa mga exposed wiring na possibleng matapakan.

You see the orange tubing? Actually that is orange pipe. Hehehe. We used that nalang as gromet to protect wirings that goes through holes in the body. Medyo matalim kasi yung yero baka mapunit yung wire loom and insulation. For safety pa rin.

We also used these to fasten the wiring in place

The End of the wiring install.

    Here are the battery termination.

We installed the battery inside the amp rack.

    Negative Termination

    Farther View

    Front Stage (SQ System)

The subwoofer (DC Audio Level 4XL 18 incher)

The Loud and Clear System (Beyma 3-way)

    The amp rack

The amp rack was designed to be efficient and practical. Wala nang flare because it was very hard to put in 6 amplifiers in a super cramped up space. Pasensya na.

I have all of my install pics but I won't bother you guys na. I joined EMMA Leg 3 (I forgot kung 2010 or 2011) and won the Advanced Unlimited ESQL.

I never joined again due to time constraints. Medyo inactive na ko sa car audio but my set up is very much intact and I have no more plans of changing.

I use my car for daily driving.

Here she is... My loyal daily driver.

    Thanks for looking.
