@ chadtukes: People who have religion will base their morality with the teachings of their religion. I really do believe when you said that atheist doesn't really mean being amoral. But where should we base our morality then as atheists?

morality isn't entirely based on religion. religion is just there to teach us about morality but it is not based on it.

morality is a natural human condition. and yes, atheists give importance to morality, for if it wasn't the case, then you'd see a lot of atheists people put into jail right now. some of the most notorious, murderous people in history weren't atheists.

My BF is a member of Ang DAting Daan bah tawag sa ila religion? Kana kang Eli Soriano? Mao toh, nag watch sila kanang exposition bah tawag ana wherein mga taw in different religions kay mu ask ug question ni Eli then iya daun tubagon. AT first, na interested ko on how Soriano answered those questions pero nag ka dugay naka realize ko mura man siya ug ga bad mouthed sa uban religion which I think is not right. Being a RC, na offend sad ko gamay sa gi pang sulti niya about sa ako religion.

Ako question. Why does he have to do that? Like iya jd hilabtan ang lain religion gani like mag pa dunggog2 gani. I mean, mas nindot man unta if "mind your own business (religion)' ang show. Nganu ang RC dili man mang hilabot sa lain? (since RC man ko, so far wala pa ko kadunggog, if naa man gani pasaylo a lang ko). Pareha atong lain sad na show nila sa UNTV, ana tong usa nila ka brod(bisayaon lang nako..hehe), "unsaon man na nato ang nindot nga building? na di man na makasalbar nato?". I think he was referring to the INC. Kay diba naa man na history ang mga leaders sa INC ug ADD.

it actually IS very different. like i've said in my previous post---we do the right things because we know it's right... whereas believers do right things for fear that they might get punished by a GOD.

one good example of how religion can be destructive. i used to watch him before and listen to his preachings, eventually i realized how crazy that group can be. further researches and readings after, i fully came to the conclusion that they're nothing more than a bunch of idiots basing their lives on a book that was extensively compiled and edited to fit its purpose.
