If ye love me, keep my commandments.

This talks about doing other commandments as proof of love and not a co-requirement of faith to be saved. In other words OT ni nga verse. Wala niingun ni nga verse nga you have to do the commandments in addition to faith to be save. Of course by the doing the commandments is the proof that you are save by faith (James 2:21). I hope I am making any sense here for you.

Sorry Sio ha. James 2:21 to. It says "faith without works is dead" which means "faith with works is alive". It did not say "faith with works will save you".

James 2:21 is a proof that early genuine christians has been abusing the doctrine of "faith alone"salvation. Therefore faith needs to be accompanied with works to prove your faith. But it is not the faith and works that will save you but it is through faith alone in God because only God can save man. One God can save man.


Only God can save man.

Only God alone can save man.

Only God alone in Christ Jesus can save man. Only God alone in Christ Jesus who is God Himself in the flesh can save man.

Only God alone in Christ Jesus can save man. Only God alone in Christ Jesus who is God Himself in the flesh can save man by the virtue of His Trinity. Not religion, not yourself, not education, not wealth, not someone else.

God Himself is the salvation of man. So if you have only biblical doctrine but without God with His presence, you are still in your sins and is not save. However repentance provides God the basis to grant forgiveness and salvation. However a repentant sinner doesnt depend on His repentance to be saved but to the One whom forgiveness comes from. I hope I am making sense here to you because this is quite deep to answer you question. Yes repentance is categorized as good work. We do not depend on our good works for salvation but to God alone which can be received by faith alone for our salvation.
