oh, just want to prevent the male from eating the good eggs. and about using the 5gallon drinking water. whew. how much do i need to fill them...haha. mahal pud. if only i have a sterilizer at home.

yeah, I also wish I have a filtration system at home similar to those installed by other betta keepers. how much kaha ang cost?

For my 25 pcs standard 4 x 6 x 8 betta tanks plus a 5-gallon aquarium containing juvenile bettas from my 1st spawn, I consume about 2.5 to 3 5-gallon bottle per week kay once a week ra ko mag 90% water change. every other day, I siphon off about 15-20% just to get the dirt at the bottom. @ P25 per bottle...so about P75 cost on bottled water weekly x 4 weeks = P300/month. So yeah, medyo gasto sa water. but I know, as my collection grows...so does the water cost. So long term solution is maybe to get a big tank to age tap water. But I'd probably just use this water for the bins holding spawns and tanks that are outside the house. For those tanks I keep inside the house, I might still maintain using bottled water just so I can avoid those unsightly calcium deposits.

today, i removed the female and saw only a couple of eggs kay wala mu create ug big bubblenest ang male or nabuto ang bubble nest sa ka wild mag mate. hahaha.

update sa ako CT project....i saw tails hanging in the bubblenest and something is moving up and down....weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee eeeeeee...na hatch nah cla...^_^...mayta di kan-on sa male ang fries...^_^...

ang CT ok rah man bot-an mn ang male CT wa nya kan-a ang fries...iya gi tabangan pasaka blik if naa matagak...butang niya s bubblenest...^_^

congrats mga bro! na hatch na pud akong salamander hm ug orange ct last feb 13 & 14. small fry swimming everywhere i look in their tubs.

ang akong mga fry sa super red which hatched last feb 6, ako na pud gi transfer. i divided them into 2 grow-out tanks since this particular spawn is exceptionally large.

no problem since i only age tap water to remove the chlorine in it. di man gyud na mawala ang calcium unless naa kay water softener system. aging the water also makes it suitable and safer for the fish. and I only use aged tap water for my grow-out bins outside the house. for my tanks indoors, i only use bottled water.
