I just hope Mayor Cortes works on what REALLY needs to be prioritized rather than busy himself getting rid of Teddy's images in Mandaue. After all, it'll take quite some time since Teddy is quite hefty...hehehe

organizing a watchdog for the city is a good idea. this forum will temporarily be that watchdog for now.

kwaks, is the minutes for each session/meeting available for public viewing? if so, is there a link to that site? if it's available online though.. I hope somebody could post it here so we would know what theses councilors are up to. are they for the betterment of the city as a whole or they're just after their own selfish agenda? it would be nice if we would have a footnote of deliberations, arguments or the like here so we would know whom to vote for next time.

for sure I won't vote for somebody who says " Kinahanglan si Jonas ang mag pa ubos namo kay kami ang majority" and I think a lot of Mandauehanons share the same sentiments as mine. how I wish he'd shown his true colors before the elections... tsk tsk..

why not look way past the political line and do what people voted you to do, and that's "to be the vessel of progress" for the city?

jonas should take his cue from tommy. tommy always has the last say on things.

dili sa pag-ingon nga iyang pig-otan ang council pero if he needs to wield his iron fist just to get things done then so be it.
    AMEN!!!

i hope the councilors (the 8 dwarves that belongs to ouanoss group especially) would stop their politicking and get on with business because they have so many things to tackle. and mayor jonas cannot do it alone. the elections is done. enough with politics!! they should already start working to bring back the glory of mandaue. i hope dili ni cla mag ginahi ug ulo unya mag pa puppet2x ni teddy kay WA NANAY LABOT SI TEDDY SA MANDAUE!! i hope they all work together as one aron nindot na ang syudad nato.

updated agenda and minutes section of the Mandaue City website.

^ there's actually an agenda and minutes section under "info center" in the Mandaue City website but I think it's not updated or something.

    Mandaue City website

this is actually not of utmost importance right now, what with all the more important matters on hand, but still we hope it's updated so Mandauehanons would know what these councilors are up to. this is the Mandauehanons way to know if they're (councilors) doing their job and not resorting to dilly-dallying tactics when issues like shady dealings in the past is on the table. if people want transparency from now on and everything's just accessible with a click of the mouse then this is a good way to do it. this is actually a good way to monitor councilors like Albano if he's doing his job or just causing a disservice..

I hope this would be on Jonas' "to do list". if Jonas needs help, then put the agenda and minutes of each session online so people would know WHO voted for WHAT and so on and so forth. then people would know who the Puppets of Mandaue City Council are and have them out in the open. that would be a very good topic for discussion here don't you think?? hmmmm...

the long journey for a "Better Mandaue" doesn't stop at the elections, rather it's only the beginning.

i think the best thing that Jonas could do is make an online venue where mandauehanons could air out complaints and observations regarding their city officials and general concerns..just like what mayor TOM did in the cebucity government website.

Karon nga human na ang election, is not the time to keep our guards down. We have to be vigilant to prevent a repeat of what the Ouano's did to our beloved city. Never again! I trust that Jonas will do what he promised Mandaue before the elections but, for the love of Mandaue, we have to be always on the lookout just in case.
