@JRPEPITO, ahay, hi-jack ug thread doh...
With all due RESPECT to Guppy keepers, nindot man ang new morphs sa guppies.
I used to keep guppies when I was a still a kid. In high school & college, I bred guppies as FOOD for my big fishes.
It's just that, personally, I dont find them interesting at all. They lacked the form and elegance of show bettas. But then again, that's just me and my opinion...as someone who has kept guppies as a kid...and someone who has seen the present day form/colors of guppies.
Again, no offense to you bro JR, and the guppy keepers in general. I salute your dedication in propagating show guppies. To each his own as the saying goes. But let's just steer clear lang unta of insinuations "na mas nindot ni"..."mas nindot na", etc.
Besides, THIS IS a thread for bettas!![]()

haha. karon pa nako na breed ug usab. i-sneakpeek and saw them both embracing ganiha. hope dili egg eater ang male. i think ill just remove them both tonight pero wala man ko dechorinated nga water naka ready T_T
if wala kay old or dechlorinated stocked water, you can use instead kana gikan sa 5-gallon bottle na for drinking. Mao na ako gamit kay I don't want calcium deposits on my betta tanks. but for my large grow-out bins, nag stock na ko daan ug tap water kay daghan2x na man to na water.
i suggest, don't remove the male sa. remove him lang once the fry are already free swimming. around 2 days after mag hatch. the male will eat bad eggs....so you don't have to worry about unhatched eggs growing fungus on them. my first spawn, ako gikuha dayon ang male dungan sa female just to prove na dili na needed sa eggs ang male in a captive situation na wala naman predators that might eat the eggs. my bad. daghan nag hatch, but daghan pud ang nag katag na unhatched eggs growing fungus on them. sa karon recent spawns nako, i leave the male in there until free swimming na ang fry. result, walay nagkatag na unhatched eggs with fungus.
oh, just want to prevent the male from eating the good eggs. and about using the 5gallon drinking water. whew. how much do i need to fill them...haha. mahal pud. if only i have a sterilizer at home.
weeeeeeeeeeee.................good news....successful ang spawning for my CT's...^_^...gahapon pa cla human ug spawning pero gnina rah nku gi remove ang female mga 1pm para di sd au nku cla madis2rbo and i saw eggs in the bubble nest...hulat n lng ko until friday or saturday na ma hatch ang eggs and then i can remove the male...hehehehe...
