It is not Arroyo herself who limits Trillanes from attending sessions. As far as I know, the courts of justice are handling the case of Trillanes. If Trillanes is really brave, he should face the charges against him and not count on being a senator so that he could escape liability.Let us say the crime is unbailable. Trillanes cant still get out of jail when there are hearings and he is accompanied by bodyguards.
Whats the difference in attending the sessions? After the sessions he goes back to jail. What the difference of allowing him to attend court hearings and attending Senate sessions? As I have said, he is not yet convicted and the disqualifications which comprise the penalty for the crime cannot be imposed.
The Arroyo government is treating Trillanes like a convict. That is a violation of his right to be presumed innocent until proven guilty.
Trillanes insists on attending sessions at the Senate when the crime charged to him is unbailable. There are legal remedies available to Trillanes and I don't think he is using any of it so that he could attend sessions. He just keeps on blaming the Arroyo government for everything.
On a side note, what will he do at the Senate, anyway? I think it's safer for our senators that he's not there. Otherwise, we could expect a stand off every time Trillanes has the opportunity to attend senate sessions.
Kung naka ikyas si 3lyanis during a simple court hearing, how much more when he attends the senate and one heated arguments... 3lyanis walks out and stage a coup again, and again, and again... unsa nalang ang pilipinas... maka uwaw
na gyud sa mata sa langyaw.![]()
it's bad enough that the Magdalo soldiers led by Trillanes started the Oakwood Mutiny and didn't even see it through. unsa man ilang na-accomplish? well, i guess, they brought to the public's attention the plight of our soldiers. that's a good thing.
pero ngano nidagan pa man cya pagka-senator nga he is still facing charges man? kabalo man cya nga lisud para sa tao sa iyang sitwasyon ang pag-serve as senator.
if he truly is a patriot naghulat na lang unta cya nga mahusay iyang kaso usa cya nidagan pagka-senador.
and then, as if running for senator was not bad enough, ni-walk out pa jud from court?
i thought soldiers should be noble and honorable and humble?
running for the senate and the Makati Pen incident reaks of arrogance on Trillanes' part...
did you see how he gives speech or how he speaks when talking to the media? did you see his strut everytime cameras are on him?
do you see any humility in his demeanor?
agree on that bro..
I will repeat this again and again, the actions of Trillanes speaks a lot about himself and no matter how great his ideologies are, he's still a big screw up.
he is the definition of the word GAGO!
Trillanes was not even asking freedom. He just want to attend the Senate sessions. But this seems to be unnerving to Gloria Arroyo that her enemy will now be allowed to deliver speeches against her. But what can she do? The people has spoken. And if she will follow the "Rule of Law" which her illegitimate administration keeps on parroting, she has no recourse but to allow Trillanes to serve.
like what I said, argue your case with the Makati RTC, the senate, or better yet bring some placards and protest outside Fort Boni. is that hard to do? if you think you're in the right, then fight for your cause there.
as far as I know, Judge Oscar Pimentel is not registered with istorya. so common sense tells me that NOBODY here (from Makati RTC) can hear what you're clamoring about much less act on it, am I right?
here's what Trillanes is accused of: "leading a 'coup"
just read below and if you have the luxury of time, just google the answers to all your questions ok?

Jalosjos precedent
Santiago reminded her fellow senators of a Supreme Court ruling in 2000 denying Jalosjos’ petition to be allowed to attend sessions of the House of Representatives.
The high court said Jalosjos had to stay in jail even after he won in the election.
At the time Jalosjos was elected, he was doing time for raping a minor, but he had a pending appeal in the high court.
Malacañang recently commuted his sentence to 16 years, which would allow him to walk free in three years.
“Just because a detention prisoner has won as senator does not mean that he should be free to attend Senate sessions, because that would be a violation of the Equal Protection Clause of the Constitution,” Santiago said.
She added: “All persons charged with nonbailable offenses, such as the crime of coup d’etat, have to remain in jail. Election as senator does not entitle a detention prisoner to special treatment. Otherwise, the result is what the law calls an invidious discrimination.”
Santiago also pointed out that as in Jalosjos’ case, those who voted for Trillanes were aware that he was in detention.

if you're not satisfied, then argue with Santiago.
good luck.
Shut Up! Let your GAME do the talking!
I dont even know why people still argue about TRILLANES as a SENATOR who was denied sessions , of course he should not , kung di siya bogo ug oplok knowing as a CONVICTED and INCARCERATED person , he should have stayed in his cell and just pray for the better . Its not PGMA , admin nor the government who wnats him barred from hearing sessions and participating , its just that he CANT ! Get pardon first , run for senate and then hear sessions as a FREEMAN !
