Religion came from the greek word "RELEGARY", meaning to bind back to the source, or the old saying "know thy self", its a system that will help us unfold our powers, from latency to potency.

But, But, But, But, Religion as we know it now (except buddhism) is an institution w/ doctrines, rituals & promises that is forcibly enforce upon its members. It binds the individual to submit to the doctrines w/o questioning, it teaches blind faith over critical thinking, it teaches exclusivity in ones attitude instead of goodwill, tolerance & understanding towards other faith.

religion is man's way (system, pamaage, o gusto) of approaching GOD.......and they are thinking na na please nila ang GOD but the fact is that GOD is not please with them.......we can not please or approach GOD with religion..........Mat 15:7 Ye hypocrites, well did Esaias prophesy of you, saying,
Mat 15:8 This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me.
