On top of that the U.S. would have a big problem if they let Pakistan spiral into a rogue state like Iran if they leave extremist Islam have their way there. And more importantly it is closer to the oil.

So I can't blame the U.S. for putting more money into the U.S...

But in that same breath, I can't blame PDUT for his loveloss with the U.S. I feel like the alliance is anachronistic and really doesn't serve either side anymore (we were an ally before because of colonialism and containment of communism). Now that the global focus shifted to radical Islam, we're not as important to the U.S. and frankly, we really can't rely on the U.S. to send American boys to fight, kill and die for our interest. I just don't see it. I could be wrong though, maybe U.S. will honor one of its oldest ally after all.. It's a pretty big pressumption to rely on though, and if we pressume wrong, we'll be spilling our blood on the Chinese bayonets.

Shift on American politics; I would rather see Hillary win, as a Filipino. I think the Filipino-American relations is more legitimate under her than that blowhard, Trump, who probably wouldn't bat an eye if China decides to be more aggressive. Never could understand why a Filipino/Filipino-American would think Trump is their champion (like my misguided Aunt)
My Tita is voting for Trump, too, while my cousin is for Hilary (Thank God). Wa gyud ko kasabot bitaw. Trump is anti-immigrant bya yet there are Filipino immigrants there na pro-Trump. SMH.

Back OnT, I guess sakto ra sad gyud si PDut. I mean, it's high time PH stops kissing US' ass na.

The recent move of PresRod would be plausible if we are not inclined to adhere with China's domination plan but instead promoting economic ties to improve commerce and none tainted with political hues then we are trudging towards the right path.

There is a possibility that we'll be more aligned to China but the bigger possibility is their will be bigger economic ties between us and China. I think Du30 is weighing on who among the 2 can give him better assistance on his plans for our country. His priority now is infrastructure and investments and less toward militarization. Given the immediate need for our country somehow he is leaning towards China since it can provide enough in terms of building the needed infrastructure compared to US.

same ra gyud sa nanguyab kung asa ka klarong sugton adto gyud ka.

i also understand his stand. sa iyang interview sa Al Jazeera, it was clear what he wants. for so many years, US was never able to help us regarding spratlys. our fishermen was still not allowed there, even after the decision from the hague. there is no point anymore. but it doesn't mean he will surrender spratlys to china as what he said.
he just wants the entitlement back.entitlement for fishing. daghan tag fishermen karon nga naglisud kay di gyud sila makapangisda. diplomacy ra iya gusto ug building trust with china. the only way for US to help us on the spratlys is to wage ware against china but as what digong said in the al jazeera interview, he said the US will not die for pinoys.
i actually admire him for going to china and speak to them this is so that our fishermen can go back to fishing in spratlys. as he said also in al jazeera, it was china who has invited him many times. and between his state visit with brunei and japan, there was a small window.so he took the invitation.

^^ as what this guy says.

“The man of knowledge must be able not only to love his enemies but also to hate his friends.”
    ― Friedrich Nietzsche

PresRod weigh up things basing upon the previous events and the present ones,
what about them the Americans we are only providers to feed their egos and glorify how they make a living out there.
So now where are we to align when your friend was proven to be not likely an altruist do you still have to persist.
We need to prosper and that neighbor close by is a potent candidate to satisfy this need.

While Pinoys are busy with Leila de Lima, Sonny Trillanes, Agot Isidro, calling each other Dutertards and Yellowtards, something big is happening between the US and Russia, and unbeknownst to us Pinoys, we are right smack in the middle of a simmering war because of our alliance with the US. Tsk tsk.

And because of our strategic location in the Pacific, we're still going to be the launch pad of any attack or the first line of defense whichever country we support. Kahadlok.

for many years the US has been an ally to the Philippines. but i haven't seen any infra project by the US govt in our country. Military projects and assistance nuon naa pro we are not going to war with anybody and if we'll going to war, for what? can we win it? or are they willing to die for our interest?

we dont need bullets we need food. one way of getting it is through jobs. and jobs will be generated through investments but we dont have good infrastructure so then China comes into the picture.

    connect the dots lng gud
