Are we saved by faith alone, or do we need works, too?

Sakto si slabs denz. Wala lang kay girecognize niya si Jesus as King kung dili naghinulsul sad siya. notice the following verses....

40 But the other, answering, rebuked him and said, Do you not even fear God, since you are in the same judgment?
(mao nay meaning sa paghinulsul, confessing sins in what we deserve 1 John 1:9)
41 And we justly, for we are receiving what we deserve for what we did, but this Man has done nothing amiss.


These verses shows nga naghinulsul sya. Accepting that you are a sinner before God is an enough repentance.

43 And He said to him, Truly I say to you, Today you shall be with Me in Paradise.

Niingun pa siya "remember me when You come into Your kingdom.". Repentance is for the kingdom. The first preaching of John the baptist was "repent for the kingdom of heavens is near.". This entire portion of Luke shows that he repented at the cross before he died.

Men really need to work for living properly here on earth. But salvation is already a work that has already been finished at the cross. It was a work done by God in Christ. And God did not leave anything for man to complete it. It has already been done once and for all. That is the reason why salvation is called by Paul as gift in grace and not wage of work. Eph 2:8-9.

All you have to do is to receive it. Of course you still have to work, but not for your salvation but for living. Salvation needs to be received, not to be done by man.

God was already satisfied with what the Lord has done at the cross.

How about if you try to understand why the bible says salvation is by faith alone? If dili ka agree sa bible then you can explain why salvation needs to be worked out.

Yes counted na....lantawun nato ha.

What is the meaning of repentance? Do you need to say sorry with your mouth as if the Lord doesnt see what is inside your heart?

Lets ask some authorities then.

"Repentance is a change of mind, change in the inner man". wikipedia. Repentance doesnt strictly mean saying sorry or asking forgiveness.

If you check merriam webster, again you will see you don't need to say sorry if you repent.

Well, in our experience, of course if you repent, you really have to ask forgiveness. Do not be too legal about it because the Lord sees the heart while man sees the mouth asking forgiveness.
