Really?? even bench players can do what the starters do Then why are they bench players?? You know
what separates the bench players from the starters or NBA superstars is "Athleticism" and "Basketball IQ". Its not Heart. Almost all NBA players have the Heart. Most of them have the WILL to WIN, its just their not as good as the starters/superstars and you know that.

Since deepest bench players can do all things...like can they defend like Artest?? Rodman?? Jordan?? Pippen?? etc.?? but its just they don't have the heart?? Nope... its Skills bro.

You don't compare Amare and Chris Mihm right?? Amare has the skill to defend and do offense, while Chris can block shots and has some some defense and offense. But Mihm just move tooo slow compare to Amare.. Now what separates them?? Heart?? Nope. Its Skills bro.

Kung sa bisaya pa... "Ga dako ra ang hunahuna wala diay to kabuga".

I maybe thinking that i can make shots or i have the heart to defend my opponents when playing basketball but if you don't have the skill to do it, then you don't. (Mao na..adto nalang ko sa NBA Live ma mawi..hehe)
    nice points..

but again, it's the nba, players are the best of the best, skills won't be enough. pure skills won't be enough to guard someone like kobe bryant or tracy mcgrady, outrebound someone like dwight howard or kevin garnett, keep up and outplay someone like steve nash and allen iverson, shutdown carmelo anthony or gilbert arenas, and more importantly, to win a championship.

Everybody's entitled to their opinion. We all have our different point of views and perspectives.

And it's nice to have a healthy argument.

    HOUSTON HIRES RICK ADELMAN

Finally they made up their minds.

Woohoo! All in good time for my beloved Rockets.. Can't say Adelman's the perfect replacement though.. Can't even say if he's a better coach than J.V.G.. They do have contrasting coaching styles.. J.V.G.'s an excellent coach.. he's just not what the Rockets needed, given their current roster.. such a waste of offensive talent.

But still all good for TMac, Yao & co.. a new coaching system they could readily embrace.. Finally they could utilize their true firepower.. No more restraints, but still with limits.. which is totally good for 'em.

Will have to make some changes.. need to improve their offensive game. But I sure do hope they won't forget how to play defense.. just sacrifice a little bit o' defense for a whole lotta offense! Wishful thinking.. Hehehe.

Go Rockets Go!!! Got my fingers crossed for 2008.. ^_^

    portland wins the lottery

@lunateec22: congrats to the hawks for winning the 3rd overall pick

new orleans ends up at 13th

portland at number 1 and seattle at number 2. portland probably would end up with greg oden while seattle will take kevin durant (possibility that rashard lewis will no longer re-sign). the west is getting even more wilder!!

zach randolph + brandon roy + greg oden == bring back the old portland playoffs glory days
ray allen + kevin durant == red hot shooting

this year's batch could be one of nba's best batches, same as the 1984, 1997 and 2003 classes.

at the number 13 pick, i just hope the hornets could take either al thornton, spencer hawes or tiago splitter and sign back desmond mason and marc jackson..

Thanks. Almost made it. But Hawks fans are actually thinking that this is a 2-man draft; with the real prizes Greg Oden and Kevin Durant. I just hope the GM can make the most out of those 2 first round picks and get a C and PG this time.

    #3 Mike Conley Jr.
    #11 Spencer Hawes

But a bit of proposition to the Blazers though. Greg Oden expressed thoughts of getting Conley to be his PG in the NBA and the Hawks may have the ability to get Conley. So:

    #3 (Mike Conley)
    Speedy Claxton
    Lorenzen Wright (exp. contract)

    for

    LaMarcus ALdridge
    Sergio Rodriguez
    Dan Dickau (exp. contract)

    Hawks line-up:

    C - Aldridge
    PF - Marvin
    SF - JSmoove
    SG - JJ
    PG - Sergio

    Blazers line-up:

    C - Oden
    PF - Randolph
    SF - Miles
    SG - Roy
    PG - Conley

    Maka-suya jud.

Hayag ang kaugmaon sa Blazers. However, if Portland thinks about a refreshing mood, then Randolph and Miles is officially on the block. Aldridge showed brilliance in his rookie season and should be available in the PF position.

Well, what can I say, good luck to Portland then.

This really sucks. Both West teams have the 2 real prizes. Portland picks Greg. Seattle picks Durant. Portland picks Durant. Seattle picks Greg. Either way, these guys are still in the West. So, good luck to them performing alongside TD, Yao, Nowitzki, Chandler and KG as well as Tmac, Marion, Anthony and Howard.

    Daghan.

I'm actually thinking about Memphis, Milwaukee and New Jersey (if they send RJ somewhere and keep Kidd and Carter). It could also be Toronto and San Antonio. Or back the New Orleans.

aside from the blazers and sonics, im setting my eyes on memphis, boston and chicago.

memphis--forget about oden and durant. probable picks will be conley or horford
boston--yi jianlian and paul pierce could be boston's dyanamic duo. at 7'0, yi is more of a small forward rather than a center. a big advantage for boston especially that they're in the east and a perfect complement for the aging theo ratliff for al jefferson
chicago--a bunch of big men around the 7-15 picks. roy hibbert, spencer hawes or joakim noah won't do anything less than good for the already formidable bulls

probably they are. though the 2003 group entered with more hype, 2007 is as much substance and potential too. and much, much greater in size.. literally. most of these guys stand 6'8 or taller.

    note worthy picks:
2003 --> lebron james, carmelo anthony, dwyane wade, krik hinrich, chris bosh
surprising picks: josh howard, david west, leandro barbosa

    2007

greg oden -- he's groomed to be the next tim duncan. nba ready body and retirement ready face.
kevin durant -- in 2-3 years, i see him having carmelo anthony's numbers in rashard lewis' game
mike conley -- a possible rivalry with chris paul in the future. maybe count deron williams in too
yi jianlian -- dirk nowitzki, andrea bargnani? common denominator, aside from being international stars, they stand 7'0 and plays like a small forward. pretty rare for a big man. better than yao ming perhaps?
al horford -- first thing i have in mind: elton brand

corey brewer, joakim noah, brandan wright.. there's still a lot of notable names in the draft

ohio state and florida makes up most of the top 10 in the mock drafts.
