    sorry if I'm clueless, but that does not change the fact that CdO rapids is class 3 and 3+, while Davao rapids is class 3+.
    If im clueless then so are those professionals that classified these rapids!!! cheers bisdak!

    Classification CDO River Rapids

    Whitewater rapids are rated on a scale of one through six, indicating the difficulty of each rapid at "normal" water level. The scale is a subjective one. While rapids are individually classed, rivers are given an overall classification that takes the whole stretch of river into account. As an example, the wilderness section of the Cagayan de Oro River has lots of Class IV rapids, but the overall classification is Class III and III+, indicating that a rafter with strong Class III skills would find the challenges within his/her abilities.

    There really is nothing quite like rafting trip on Cagayan de Oro River. The stretch from Barangay Dansolihon to the city provides you with strikingly beautiful panoramic view of the river rocky walls, untouched vegetation and the sight of the resting haven of monkeys. It has breathtaking rapids that provides the more adventurous with thrills and challenges of rapids intervals not less than 10 – 15 minutes of each other. Cagayan de Oro river has everything that makes for a memorable experience with awesome roar and power of water cascading over rocks and boulders.

    The wilderness section of the Cagayan de Oro River has lots of Class IV rapids, but the overall classification is Class III and III+, indicating that a rafter with strong Class III skills would find the challenges within his/her abilities.

    When to go.

    Rafting season here is all year round with June to December serving as the peak season.

    Davao

    Davao River ranks number seven among the largest river basins in the Philippines , Cagayan Valley River Basin being at the zenith on the list. This is the largest of the city's nine principal watersheds. The River is the main natural reservoir of the aquifer in the city's jurisdiction.

    The River has a total length of 143 kilometers, stretching creeping through a good number of streams. The main source of which may be traced to as far as Bukidnon. The headwater in Bukidnon is of largely timberland or moss forest. The larger part being found in Davao City. Its width varies approximately from 60 to 90 meters. . Suawan River and Tamugan River are its main tributaries, the waters of which flow with that of the waters of the streams to which the river passes through. It flows southward, meandering along the central part of the City and empties eastward towards the Davao Gulf.

    The Davao River is rated Class 3+ (two class 4 rapids). The minimum age requirement is 6 years old.

    When to go

    Pero Goy rob, mao nang nihangyo ko nga maligo ka panalagsa ba dili tungod kay naa koy pagnanasa sa imoha woi...ayaw lang kasuko ha...nanimaho naman gud kang pan-os nga kopra sa sige nimo ug hiniso anang coconut oil.

    Sagdi lang ug naa unya ko sa Davao, pwede man ka mo renta kadali sa amoa, naa man koy balay didto pud hinoon unya plano nako mo palit pud ug unit unya anang condominium nga gitukod nila diha sa duol sa City Hall, investment purposes lang na ba. Nindot baya nang naa kay kapuy-an puhon nga naa ra sentro sa siyudad pananglitan puhon.

    oh...bisayadakoo, pls do educate me about rapid classification...mukhang as you said, I'm clueless, and in that sense, pati na din yung mga professionals who classified Cdo River as class 3/3+ and Davao River as class 3+. I hope you can shed light to all of our clueless minds.
