funny but i thought about rizal the other day. remembered that he was heartbroken, too. that cousin-turned-gf of his was married off to some british guy ba toh? yeah. i can almost feel his pain.
^"traded a diamond for a pebble." - Blumentritt said something like this.
Idol nako si Rizal but not only for being a National Hero but the way he fights for our country's freedom from foreign rule. He use his intellect, study the way Spanish culture, economic, lifestyle and military power and use it against them so that he will knew what are their weaknesses. He didn't use force in fighting our freedom unlike from his fellow Katipunero's. Instead, uses his writings, propaganda's and books in revealings of these inhuman works of land grabbers Spaniards. Walang dahas at dugu-ang pakikibaka para sa ating kalaya-an ang kawang gawa ni rizal.....
yeah i am!
before taking that rizal course, i really loathed it. I thought it's just another minor that would waste my time.
but... pagtake na, i fell in love with rizal!!!
yeah. so sad. but i can't blame leonor rivera for choosing that british engineer over rizal. she was deeply in love with rizal, even with the distance, but rizal was never really serious about his promise of marrying her, because of his purpose for the country and the filipinos. leonor died of melancholy. it's such a tragic love story.
