I didnt collect cds as a hobby, i didnt buy taps just because i can afford it while others dont. Look ass i used my initiative, para mabili kung yung gusto ko. Generally, piracy is defined as stealing and one way or another or for whatever reasons, there's no way it will be right. CD piracy is so rampant now and the mere reason nga to be "practical" is too lame. We would think that buying pirated CDs, DVDs or the mere downloading is ok since everybody is doing it, yet sa tinuoray lang, it's not.
If we think of ourselves alone to be practical, we should start to think about those people who made such softwares. Is it easy to make one? Di man pud siguro, that's why it's not sold cheap. And one more thing, panginabuhi pud na nila. They studied and learned so much for that and what do we do? Copy their work and sell it cheap without their consent? Isn't it stealing?
Copyright infringement of softwares refers to several practices done without the the permission of the copyright holder.
1.) Creating a copy and/or selling it.
2.) Creating a copy and giving it to someone else.
3.) Creating a copy to serve as a back-up.
4.) Renting the original software.
5.) Reselling the original software.
6.) Bulletin Board Sharing/Internet Piracy -- copyrighted materials on bulletin boards or the internet for users to download.

FYI...I don't buy pirated CD/DVD media..only the OS since it's way too expensive to spend 7,500-8T for a genuine os copy...if u'll be altering ur current hardware specs, u would have alot of problems since an OEM OS CD from Microsoft can detect those type of changes and u have to contact them...so y pay for the long distance call fee.....
yes this is a definition of piracy...here in the phils it won't be stopped for too many reasons....saonz nalang...Originally Posted by yokam

Kung Philippines lang ang basehanan, strict implementation is needed. Unsaon ta man ning anti-piracy board nga kutob ra man pud publicity. Where's the raid lately? Wala. City Halls even give permits to store owners who sell pirated CDs and DVDs. Diri sa Cebu, talamak kaayo diha atbang sa Colonade yet wa gyu'y nakaraid diha?
I hope someone from the City government give a good reason for this. Maski unsaon ug bali bali, piracy will always be piracy and it will never be right.
mao...but regarding OS in my opinion it's way too expensive...saonz nalang ng 7,500 - 8T for XP PRO SP2, 1month salary naman na sa uban oi!Originally Posted by yokam
