From what I experienced last year since I started running...during the first 2 months my weight dove from 180lbs to 160lbs...i also did some weight training...during the start of the 3rd month I increased my mileage and became more strict on my diet but my weight started to plateau.I consulted my gym instructor and he told me that it's normal because my body is already used to the diet and exercise. He said that this is where the real weight loss starts. This is where you start burning some real fat and build some muscle. Even if I do 500 sit ups everyday I wouldn't still be able to have those six packs if I don't change my diet which is to avoid the 3 white food (rice, salt, & sugar) which are the culprits to weight gain.

I had a cheat meal last night. I ate 6 pcs hot wings and Cheeseburger without the bun. Aside from that, I have not eaten rice since Jan.1. Ate foods high in fiber and a lot of veggies and fruits. 1 thing na akong na bantayan sa akong self karon is that food no longer drives my daily activities. Sauna di jud ko makabuhat anything kun di ko ka kaon bisan wa ko gutoma.

I did this without visiting the gym yet because i want to prove na excuses like no time to exercise is not valid. you can lose weight as long as you manage what you eat.

akong goal sa Jan. 30 kay under 200 lbs. excited!!!

From my first post, January 2, I only managed to
lose 1 happy pound from all the binge-eating of a
stressful couple of weeks plus missing out on gym
time... However, I'm happy because in a month's
time, I was able to lose 5 lbs!

    Musta namo, guys?

    We can do this!

water weight...sorry to butt in, if i may, share ko sa ako opinion guys ha? unless naa ka problem sa imung renal system then false belief rana ang water weight kai ug mo exercise ka mo automatic na imo body ug replace sa lost water. water weight loss occurs ra ig ga take ka tambal diuretics or for example ga inum ka beer which is a diuretic(sigi ihi), maka notice ka igka ugma kai ni lose kag weight pero temporary ra kai dehydrated manka.

our body naturally stores water most especially when there is a high concentration of sodium and yes you are correct that when there is a problem in the renal system which is usually/partially caused by high intake of salty foods, we call this "panghupong" in the local dialect...ever wonder why runners take in salt tabs? it's done to speed up the absorption of water by the body...

i believe youre referring to a condition called EDEMA ... hehe yep youre right sad in a way kai rule is, where sodium goes water follows man... but if mo work ka like running, ang magamit jud anah sir kai FATS kai FATS is a storage for energy and water is just for heat loss in the form of sweating, and replaced later on when you drink... just my opinion but i can be wrong too

what i mean is if a person has been living a sedentary lifestyle especially if he/she has been consuming foods that are high in sodium then suddenly he/she starts to live an active lifestyle, the first thing that he/she will lose will be the excess water which was stored in his/her body due to the high volume of sodium that he/she has previously consumed

yes that's true...but you just don't lose that high amount of fat in a span of 15 days without exercise but you can lose a lot of water in an hour of intense exercise...i believe you also know that the ideal time you can check on your weight is during the morning after you've defecated and urinated
