I was told by them at the store that they add a surcharge. I didn't know they couldn't do that.

This is untrue. I just came home from a short visit to L.A. I used my PCI credit card in purchasing the ticket and PAL didn't charge me any additional payments except the taxes.

probably PCI Visa and CitiBank Visa, though both under the same credit card company, Visa have different regulations and implementing policies, hehe!! or probably my colleague, an executive vice-president of one of the biggest real estate developers in Cebu is just a plain LIAR. how pathetic of her, hehe!!

Sirlitz has been charging extra for over two years. I think the credit card companies were already discouraging such surcharges even years ago. At least now with the DTI order, its official.

We, consumers need your protection. Why don't you DTI people be pro-active.

Ang problema gud kay they don't act on these establishments unless naay formal complaint gikan sa usa ka customer. Mao nga ang kaning mga negosyante bisan kahibaw nga illegal ang surcharging of credit cards, ga-sigi lang gihapon sila ug patong. Mga hakog!

maro kaayo uban stores kay if cash imo bayad naa daw discount then if credit card kay walay discount when in fact its just another way of putting surcharge...grrr....
