Canada is like a land flowing with milk and honey, a land of bigger opportunities and greener pastures. The country offers higher salary and this is what they're after.

canada is too rich but too underpopulated. i think it was in 2004 when they released that Alberta, a Canadian state with larger land area than the philippines, only had a total population of 200,000. it could easily place all the 91 million filipino population in a single state in Canada. whew.

Why would pinoys leave for canada? for the simple reason nga ganahan mo-asenso. Nagpuyo ko diri sa canada for 6 years na and mao ni ang pros nga akong nakit-an.
    1. good paying job
    2. free health care
    3. 1 year maternity leave or 9 months paternity leave
    4. kung mawalaan ka og trabaho kay naay gitatawag nga employment insurance- which means the govt will give you money while looking for a new job up to 9 months
    5. if unable to find a job, the govt will help with career change by helping you go back to school.
    6. free education for your kids thru highschool (pili ka catholic, non sectarian, free immersion, french)
    7. 100 dollar/month per kid up to 6 years old and child benefits up to 18 years old
    8. less tax if you have children
    9. less tax if you have your own business and be an employer
    10. crime rate not as high
    11. government will lend you money for college education
    12. job oppurtunities are so many kung di ka pilian( imong lawas nalang ang mo surrender)

og mao ni ang mga cons nga akong naexperience
    1. winter- walay word nga makadescribe kung unsa katugnaw diri
    2. taas ang taxes pero kita man pud ka kung asa naadto(nindot ang mga dalan, well maintained and mga parks, lots of recreational space, free healthcare and money to your kids) so this tax thing is not really that bad
3.paet kung naa kay mga gagmay nga bata kay lisud mangita kinsa ang mobantay kung magwork ka
    4. hangtud karon kay mahomesick gihapon ko

but its worth it... i dont regret being here... im so greatful that i am here... but theres still no place like CEBU!!!
