Ako lang giapil og compare ang ROKS Cheonan-PCC 772, ky ani man gud cya no matter how state-of-the-art technology ang barko... when you mess, with your enemy... PITI jud ang labas...mao nah ang nahitabo sa ROKS Cheonan-PCC 772...some speculated it was torpedoed by DPRK...

lol.. its not comparable between an aircraft carrier vs coast guard cutter.

    its a massive overkill.

A Chinese missile frigate would decapitate our newly acquired ship just like a sitting duck!

    Pls get real!

Also the Chinese Aircraft Carrier (Varyag) is not for combat but for training purpose only. When it was purchased from Ukraine it states on the contract that it wont be use for combat if im not wrong.

what hit Cheonan, South Koreans speculated that a midget submarine of DPRK hit the Cheonan.. ang pangutana? Ngano wa mo register sa ila sonar ang submarine...

because those midget submarines daw of North Korea is much lesser ma detect not because HI-TECH cya because tungod sa kagamay.... so maski pah cge banging of SONAR PINGS...

In shallow water, where sonar returns are cluttered, they can prove quiet and sneaky.

So back to BIG BOATS vs. SMALL BOATS... small boats nakakapuwing din

    well said...good observation
unlike the olden days you can't just purchase something esp it deals with military equipment
there a lot of sanctions nowadays under the watching pacts or treaties between countries

Like there's a lot of them up for grabs esp from the US and there are countries who can afford these arsenals...if only, lets say, if the US allow a purchase from this country a squadron of F35 Lightning or a fleet of Littoral Combat Ships.
But no it's not a matter of who has the pockets or money...its a matter of world security and you can't just allow such weapons to be exploited by tyrant, trigger happy country ruled by a savage dictator.

though still there are some below the table and rogue deals.

China are buying old carriers for research since they don't have experience in building carriers. They are now interested on old British carriers .
