    My Low-Maintenance Pets

You know what peeps, I recently bought a pair of turtles from a sidewalk vendor. It was impulsive buying on my part. I was from the supermarket and outside I happened to see this man selling tutles and so I went home with 2 bags of groceries plus an extra plastic bag with two turtles inside! Though I didnt have a place for them yet and didnt really know how to take care care of them, for a long time I had entertained the idea of getting pet turtles because compared to dogs and cats, I believe they're more manageable.

Well, I'm a bit pleased to know now that they are indeed low maintenance. Ang mahal ra kay ang tank where they are supposed to be kept (kanang naay water ug raised platform plus heat source). Well, I don't have that yet; right now naa ra man sila nako gi butang sa may wash area ahehehehe. So far okay ra man sila. I feed them cooked rice and vegetables (mga leftovers ra gani). When I have time I get them out of the pasong ang brush their shells clean. Mao ra na among bonding ahehehee.

You might want to have turtles as pets too. Sa akong obserbasyon, ganahan kaayo ang mga bata ug pet turtles, so I think they can be good family pets. Here's a humorous but informative web page on pet turtle care that you might be interested in:

It's so funny it reminds us that "Turtles are not Ninja Turtles...they don't perform tricks, talk, or perform heroic deeds" and "Aquatic turtles will not eat pizza!"

back to Frugality .... my kids asked me if they can have a puppy. Kay ang poodle sa ilang friend due to have baby puppies soon and they're selling the puppies at about $200.00. Its a french poodle breed called bichon frise. They dont grow big and they really are so cute. Now, i'm thinking of having one reserved already coz if you buy this kind of dog outside, its well over a thousand dollars yes they are a very expensive kind of dog and their friend from church will be selling the puppies soon as the mother bichon frise gives birth. So unsa man, morag frugal price na man ang $200.00 compared to over a thousand dollars for a french poodle. Still thinking, maybe i'll okay my kids for this.

my son always ask for a puppy but we just don't think it's practical kay deri baya you treat them like babies not to mention expenses in grooming and medical plus ug mo bakasyon mi mahal kaayo babysitting kay not all hotels take pets..and i don't want to end up picking up the mess..hehe...
