kuan, the concept of approaching infinity..
take this for example:
wondered how pi(3.1416..) was calculated?
pi is defined as the ratio of the circumference(C) to the diameter(D)
i hav come up with an approximation to pi.
draw a regular polygon(with N sides)
connect each vertex to the center(this will be length R) and you form N triangles
now if you use trigonometry, u should be able to come up with the final formula:
C/D = N*sin(180/N) as N approaches infinity
this value approaches the "perfect pi" with an infinit value of N.

you can try this with your scientific calculator. use DEGREES mode. dont use the radian mode because it already uses the value pi.

actually.... there is a flaw with this solution.
by cancelling similar terms on both sides means that you divide both sides by it, which in this case is...

(A+B)(A-B) = A(A-B)
(A-B)............(A-B)

and in math, there is a rule
you can not divide any number by zero.
Because any number [except for zero] divided by zero is undefined.

since A=B, A-B=0

which makes that statement wrong and unacceptable.

thus 2 != 1.

a math equation maybe can't solve this, not so sure... but you can use tinamban instead... by the way, tinamban is a cebuano term for the word shortcut...

3 men were tasked to sell 10pcs, 30pcs and 50pcs of eggs respectively. part of the task was that they should have same amount of money at the end of the day but should also be selling the eggs at the same price and all the eggs should be sold-out...

no sir... eggs should not be shared among the 3. they should sell what they have separately... you can dictate the price but be sure that they have same sales amount at the end of the day...
