ive tried my cheap tamron and sigma lenses on rapid moments and they coped up with. yes, some nikkor swm lenses have faster focusing capability & some advantages but the basic low cost versions from sigma and tamron can suffice. anyway, i believe i have shared to you a basic way in focusing method. its all about mastering the weakness of your equipment, pushing its limits, unless if you have the money, you can always buy the better one. pero sa akong experience, dili ingon ana nga hinay ang focusing nga somewhat gi "superlative" sa mga reviews and user comments. basta ayaw kahingawa about sigmas or tamrons, daghan na naggamit mga experts ani nila and i believe they are satisfied with the performances.

yep2.. ur right bro. the choice essentially boils down to the
superior optics of the Tamron versus the Sigma's excellent autofocus system. Well i guess it depends on the user how he/she would use the lens. If pang sports/fast moving subjects jud ka, then go for sigma. But if you prefer excellent image quality, excellent IQ, then go for tamron. Sakto sad si chip ganina kay naka suway man sad ko sa tamron niya. Gi testingan nako. As what ive observed, not that slow man jud ang pag AF niya. Di kaau ko ka spot sa difference during AF-ing sa tamron. With regards pud sa ka saba sa lens, di man jud sad kaau sya saba. Mao na akong na observed.

ang ako mindset is if ang 55-200 vr can produce similar image sa 70-200 @5.6f above then why would I spend the extra money for a 2.8f glass where in fact it's already known that 2.8f on 3rd party lenses are soft wide-open.
Yes reviews can be meticulous at times it's all about getting your facts straight. The main reason why I walk away from this lens (tamron) is because ako purpose gamitan ani is purely sports photography ug wedding, kani nga mga environment nag-require ug spot on focusing ky dili na mabalik ang moment which would translate to potential loss of clients/money etc.
But if ang imo purpose ani nga lens ky pang-shooting lang without any pressure of output if you screw up, then mao nani ang part where you chew it up and say, "ok kaayo ni nga lens bai"
Ingon sila sigma produces superb focusing comparable to the canons/nikons but gi-sacrifice pod gamay ang IQ, so if mag-3rd party ka you have to choose, focusing vs IQ?
