Complaints against PHOTOGRAPHERS in the streets during Sinulog

this is my 2nd year shooting the sinulog parade. and like last year i enjoyed EVERYTHING about the experience. this event is a grand public event, so be prepared with the things that happen on such an occassion. having your view blocked, being shoved around by people, having your foot stepped on, and etc. are parts of the experience.

if you go out on the streets expecting cool winds, sun-less skies and crowdless vantage points then you sure are in the wrong place at the wrong time!

my only one complaint though that i never expected: the festival queens/lead dancers whose eye make-ups are predominantly black! most of my shots of them seemed like they had their eyes close all the time!!! hehehehe

It's my 2nd time taking pictures on Sinulog, and grabe, patay jud ang mga tao just to shoot. Magdinaganay ambi nakog unsay nahitabo lol. Honestly, I understand the sentiments of those who're complaining. Being lucky enough to be part of the media, I've covered over 5 "Sinulogs" and kibaw ko dili lalim mapiit para lang kakita sa parade. Saying "they should just go to the grandstand" is insensitive, dili baya tanan kaya mupagawas ug kwarta para kasulod didto.

At the same time, I know how it is for photographers when they're "in the zone", so to speak. I see no problem with those without ID's, since the the main cause of the problem here is the lack of crowd control and a designated area/s for photographers.

ive seen no IDs and Uniforms getting in as well. anyway, don't worry, i am planning to use nikkor 18-55mm reversed w/ right flash for the next mardigra.

ang mga ni complaints bro kay gikan baya na sa lasang. wala mana sila maanad ug naa daghan tawo. wahahahahahaha! be kind to animals like them. pero mura'g patubang man ka macro ana set-up imo gi mention. wahahahahah!

reklamo mga tawo? adto cla dapat mo reklamo sa mga manan-away nga bisan walay ID hala posing jd sa mga contingents. baga pa kaayo ug nawong ang uban kay mag pa picture pa nimo.. saernz nalang.. daghan kaayo mga walay ID nakasulod oi.

There are lots of shooters there nga walay ID, the reason I brought it up sa mga commanding officers nga involved sa cordon to ask for all Photographers for ID because that is a MUST.
