Cebu Pacific (CEB) will fly direct from Cebu to Bangkok thrice weekly, starting April 6, 2008, bringing to six its non-stop international services from its Cebu hub. CEB is the only airline flying from Cebu to Bangkok. The year-round ‘Go’ fare is pegged at P1,499 one-way. Fares quoted are exclusive of taxes and surcharges.
I just checked their website... their regular roundtrip total fare would be at around 7K... hmmm... similar w/ Singapore's ...

the BIG difference is that super barato ang gastos sa Bangkok... New Empire Hotel would be at around 350Php per room (good for 2) per night ... w/ continental breakfast ...

I think they offer airport transfer service ... pero mura naa charge... I'll ask if anyone's interested

    CHEAP!

    1. King's Palace (you can take a tuk-tuk or a bus from Phrakanong or Sukhumvit basta along that area, just take the red bus) Pero kung ganahan ka mas paspas, take a taxi.

    2. Safari Park ( it is like what they have in Singapore)

    3. Lumpini Park (It is a nice park and it is free entrance. Also in that area are a lot of agogo bars ahaha. They call the place the *** capital of the world)

    4. RAMA IX Park (much bigger than lumpini park and also free entrance)

    5. Shopping places:
*week end market (where everything is cheap) you can take a BTS or train to go to the place
    *Floating market
*Paradise Mall, Seri Center and Seacon Square (where you can buy cheap stuff too)

: Do you know that you can go to other ASIAN countries from Bangkok CHEAP? You can take a slow train to Cambodia from Bangkok (less than 300 baht). You can go to Singapore, Malaysia etc by V-Hire or bus (over 500 baht)
hala..nia ra diay...yeyy! brato ra dy pamasahe. 1 baht is just around 1.40 pesos...

@ plush - in my quest for road trips from bangkok, i found this site which seems to be of good info for your going to cambodia. maybe u can use this. http://www.seat61.com/Cambodia.htm#Siem%20Reap

thai people are accommodating and friendly! their traits are almost the same as filipinos. i prefer thais over singaporeans, the latter are arrogant and racist.. believe me, they underestimate their neighbouring countries though their place is clean and very highly developed..

hongkong nalang mo laag ma'am, barato pud didto, maka cross paka china-- shengzen, macao. shanghai. pili lang, mas comfortab;le paka didto kay convenient ang pama-agi.

been to bangkok but i think i will not go back there kung dili free, adto nalang ko manila, pareha ra, naa may oceanarium na sa manila, daghan pud parks ngadto, naapa enchanted kingdom sa laguna, star city, mall of asia. ug way maka lupig sa barato nga divisoria market. we have better bars for night life in makati, our bands are great, shows nagkalata rapud sa manila, pili lang. its manila over bangkok for me.

but HK is great! electronics barato didto, even cheaper than singapore. and feel gyud nga lahi nga country, unlike bangkok nga mas nindot pa makati, rockwell, ortigas ato. daghan pud barat shopping night market sa HK.

baht pagadto namo kay 1.2 pa karun 1.4 na? mahala na gud, all the more HK nalang kay sa una tag 6 man ang HK dollar karun 5 nalang. hehe
