-- as my engineer friend told me, machines overload but human brains does not. Why because there are tendencies that some informations can be dumped with no expense. You get tired but you'll get back once you have a good rest.

Awareness is all around us. You just have to be vigilant and choose wisely.

[quote=bluedes;4826715]not necessarily.. a person can be kind without him being explicitly aware of it..
i dont think there are priorities or steps to take when building a character.. na you have to be aware first in order to be an honest person.. some are simply just honest by nature..

anyway, it depends on what you mean by awareness and what you want to get out of it..

sir bluedes i think awareness is a special quality of consciousness, man is neither good or bad in character, what he is (pertaining to personality w/c includes behavior) is a product of programming from varying factors, mutual influence & conditionings, whether conscious or not during the process,,awareness is something else, its fresh, its a glimpse of something else w/c longs for itself,,you cant have steps for awareness for that would be leading to building a new behavior, but awareness is awareness, its not "being" its "be-ness",,,,pls na sir, iba talaga

awareness is just being aware.. being alert.. its hard to describe something so abstract.. the best I could refer to is that parable of Jesus about the ladies with the candles waiting for their master to arrive at night.. that's being aware.. and not being asleep.. literally..

anyway, awareness is like waking up to reality.. we have intellect, and we are supposed to use that intellect to assess the situation to the best of our ability.. and not let our biases or emotions or other influences to affect our sound judgment for the better good..

most people are asleep.. or should i say a slave to their lower selves.. instead of taking the course of action that would lead to better relationships, they instead are blind to their selfishness or egos or fears and prejudices.. these people are asleep, they are not aware that what they will do will in the end just go back to them.. before, i was very adamant about these people, but now, i'm just enjoying the show.. the world is full of entertainment.. i only interfere when necessary, but for the whole, i'd rather stay clear of people's own karma.. now that's also being aware..

add: sometimes though, u can't blame people.. either they don't know any better, or they're just being stupid and funny.. hehehe

There are four states of awareness:

    1) The Waking State (full exercise of perception)
    2) The Dream State (subconscious perception)
    3) The Delusional State (altered perception such as intoxication or mental retardation)
    4) The Comatose/Unconsciousness State (Limited or absence of a sense of awareness)

The fifth being metaphysical but has yet to be scientifically established.
