While I respect the holy books (Quran, the Holy Bible, etc...) I have to disagree that all the scientific questions are answered by these books. Religious books deal with supernaturals (anything that transcends the physical universe) and scientific literature talks about physical phenomena. You cannot use a science book to disprove the existence of GOD. You cannot also use Quran (or the Bible) to disprove science. But that is just my two cents opinion. I could be wrong.

Al Quran doesn't disprove science. I never said that. I was just saying that there are scientific miracles in the Quran. It's just amazing how science validates what the Quran says.

What about human embryonic development? That's not supernatural :S

The term 'scientific miracles' is self-contradictory. Anything that is scientific should have a naturalistic explanation while miracles are events that cannot be explain by the laws of nature because they have supernatural origin.

That's what happens when you uphold evidence as the basis for support or refutation of scientific theories. There are lots of scientists who had posited competing theories/hypothesis in the past. We know they can't all be true. Now, what would be the ultimate arbiter of their truth or falsity? It's the scientific method and the weighing of evidence. AND THAT'S THE BEAUTY OF SCIENCE. In the competition of ideas, it's those theories that survive rigorous scrutiny and continuous testing (as new technologies arise) that are assigned the best approximation of the phenomena they attempt to explain. And most importantly, every theory must be FALSIFIABLE...that's why the supernatural is never part of the scientific theories.

Religion has none of these. Even if several things in a holy book are falsified, it's the person reading it who's wrong.

Can you provide a scientific evidence that the following statement is true?

The ultimate arbiter of truth or falsity is the scientific method and the weighing of evidence

Take note that the statement above is general/universal. So the scientific evidence which could prove that it is true should be universal, not particular. Now, can you please provide the said scientific evidence.

I guess in Al Quran they are miracles and scientific comes from the scientists who agree with these miracles. They are not called scientific miracles in the Quran I should have said. Scientists have found these events to be true.

For example, scientists have observed the earth and the heavens were one connected entity. Then from homogenous 'smoke' they formed and separated from each other. Al Quran, God said: "Have not those who disbelieved known that the heavens and the earth were one connected entity, then We separated them? (Quran, 21:30).

    So beautiful

Believe may refer to Belief, a psychological state in which an individual holds a proposition or premise to be true. Why are some people trying to insert the scientific basis churva...inyung line kay...I CONCLUDE! We believers...we believe!
