Another one, California Hawk

a rare predator soaring high...



a rare scene I thought I would never see again in our country...a wild raptor circling in the sky in search of prey.

I chanced upon this brahminy kite (lawin / banog) circling menacingly above a flock of sea swallows near the port of cebu. this sighting made me feel nostalgic...the last time I saw a wild hawk gliding across the skies was in 1983 in bulacan.
