just to point things out... we are talking about our air force here. and with regards to our educational level in the air force specifically our pilots, well we are one of the best and one of the most professional aviators. come to think of this, although we are not the most advanced in aircrafts, the terrorist pilot that crashed the "World Trade Center" in 2001 did his flying school study here in the Philippines. let us not talk about security how they were able to do it but let us focus on the issue about education.
i am not a pilot but i have been trained with the Helo operation esp the Huey. I would strongly disagree that we are not capable enough to handle advanced equipments for the Air Force. Many of the U.N. pilots are Ex-Philippine Air Force Pilots. the Philippines may be one of the poorest 3rd world countries but it doesn't mean we are ignorants or lacking of education... Filipinos are one of the most flexible races, in fact the most flexible race to adapt any foreign culture. that goes out with hi-tech equipments too...
we cannot compare hi-tech equipments to what happened in Vietnam war. Guerilla warfare is really very hard to fight. even the Japanese troops took hard times in defeating our less equipped Filipino guerilla fighters in WWII. i understand your point, i just wanna defend with honor in behalf of our air force family...because i am part of this family and we are not just sitting around watching things fall apart on television. let us help one another, besides we all live under the same Flag.![]()
you quoted "maski daghan ta hightech nga equipment pero ang nag operate ug nag maintain kai kuwang sa education.. dili ma utilize ug maayo ang gi palit"
we can utilize ug maayo ang paliton. the maitenance is not affected sa kakuwang sa education.. you have nothing to worry...if there is a factor that this can't be maximized, it is not in the technical know-how but in the logistics (fuel allocation). we have the capable personnel to handle such...education is not that critical...

hehehehe...you are definitely right...ayaw kabalaka ang item na paliton kay naay user's manual apil....hehehehe....bitaw oi...ayaw kabalaka...kay ang ato mga mechanics diri kuyaw na ug mga talents...mismo ang U.S. na naghatag nato sa UH-1H Huey helicopters na war-torn from vietnam or asa pa diha na shock pa man gani ngano until now galupad pa daw...ug ang atong C-130 Hercules na eroplano....hehehhe...unya kita filipinos, maski wala pa ta ana na equipment diri naa nay uban nato nga nag schooling na sa gawas sa nasud... and uban pa gani kay flipino ka ang inventor ug ang lecturers abroad...so chillax...![]()
well this is the big question mark...but as for me, if our Air Force will be given its modernization program a green signal then perhaps their morale will be uplifted that makes a man stay. it isn't what they have learned from being in the force that became the reason for some to leave, it is the lack of growth in personal career inside the force. some fall into discontentment, others may have different reasons too.
we FILIPINO soldiers take our lives through trainings and doctrines...one of which is the "Pledge of Loyalty". and being a professional military man one has a conscience to perform his duties. that's why others find their way to stay. but it doesn't mean those who have left were not loyal...they also have found their way to move to another.![]()
