The Houston Rockets won their 10th straight game. The streak is Houston's longest since the 1993-94 season where they started the season winning a record setting 15 straight games.

The San Antonio Spurs heavily relied on Manu Ginobili and Tim Duncan to narrowly escape the Minnesota Timberwolves. Ginobili finished with 44 points while Duncan had 24 points and 14 rebounds. The other Spurs player who managed to finish in double digits was Michael Finley finishing with 13 points.

They have always been lately, but with the recent acquisitions especially Ben Wallace, the Cavaliers are more formidable now, and even bigger (Z, Anderson Varejao, and Big Ben).

The contention in the East is getting more intense, but still not as intense as the West.
