I'm graduating this year, im 17 - im planning to go to CDU to take up nursing (typical, I know, but I love it. I'd even aspire for medicine but I wouldn't dare study 8 years, id end up failing). The thing is though, school in america ends in June - June 5ish for me. Fil-Am ko, but I know how to speak tagalog and bisaya because I lived in Cebu for 3 years man sad, unya naa man sad mi ug TFC

My question is, though, would it be hard for me to get in CDU? Are there waiting lists? I know that there are entrance exams.. are they hard? and when does a new school year start for you, isnt it June also (right on time)? I've looked at the website for requirements for foreign students, but its all jumbled together. I also have a friend in CDU.. I think she's in her third year. We're 2nd cousins and we've been friends since we were born, so I'm not that worried (I guess) and im a generally friendly person, lol.

And also - the age factor. People tell me that its apparently a hard thing to get by there. Are there many people in my situation? Including the fact that I'll be starting the year about 2 years older than the norm? And how is student life in there? Oh and the dorms! How are they?

opinions and advice would be greatly appreciated, and advanced thank you !
"My question is, though, would it be hard for me to get in CDU?"

    - No, if you have complete papers

    "Are there waiting lists?"

    - yes

    "entrance exams.. are they hard"

    - easy

"when does a new school year start for you"

    - 1st or 2nd week of june

"Are there many people in my situation?"

    - yes

"how is student life in there?"

    - kapoy pero lingaw sad

    "dorms! How are they?"

    - okay lang daw pero naay curfew and strict

thanks so much for your reply

I have a (little) bit more questions, if you don't mind?

The entrance exams? They really are easy? For some reason, I am worried. I really dont know why.

Oh! and there really are many people in my situation? So there's many students from the US and other countries that go to school in CDU? I dont hear much. Its not much of a problem to me, but being in a classroom filled with younger students just gives me the thought of loneliness because I'm basically a grandma. In California its all specifics.

And the dorms! How strict are they? Do they have curfews on weekends? :/ And, is questhomes the only CDU affiliate housing? because I've checked up the website, and it said that there's only communal/private rooms, but its either for single occupancy or quadruple (!) occupancy. In the CDU website in their 'dorms' flyer its says that they also have a double occupancy, so I was wondering if that double-person room is also available in questhomes?

And where are the hangouts for CDU students?
Im just so excited to go there.

the entrance exams?yeah, its easy. i assure u, without a doubt, that u can pass..
dont fret about being with younger students, as long as ur gonna be open to them too, then there's no problem to that..there are many foreign students in CDU, and most of them can get along with anybody.. and ur asking if were do CDU students hangout?wel, its like anywhere..haha..in malls, bars, clubs..wek, inside the campus, it has to be in tha canteen area..or lobby..
