kobe fan here... i admit mj will always be better statwise... but in terms of skill level, IN MY OPINION Kobe has already surpassed Michael.

Stats don't tell you the whole story... For example, if we examine Kobe's scoring average this season which is 26+ ppg. That doesn't tell you that he's actually just sitting out for the rest of the fourth quarter because the team have already established a comfortable lead.
