LXDE is also a good option, for people who like windows-style UI or love kde but wanted faster, xfce is a fork of gnome2....

dont read it... experience it.... you always run Live Session just create a LiveUSB and off you go...

you can download it from their site... current release is Ubuntu 13.04 Raring Ringtail, LTS release is Ubuntu 12.04 Precise Pangolin next release will be october (i think) Ubuntu 13.10 Saucy Salamander

you could try its other official siblings like xubunut (xfce), lubuntu (lxde) or kubuntu (kde), not sure if existing paba ang edubuntu (specialized distro for schools and students)

or you could always check ang mga igsoon sa gawas... Linux Mint, ElemetaryOS (seriously i love the UI, hopefully they will make a straight debian based next time)

guys, mu assemble ko ug pc karng sat, and im planning on using ubuntu/linux mint - depende kng unsay magustuhan nga ui sa akng manghud, quick question lng - naa bay native drivers ang linux karn? mrag pareha sa windows 7 gali, nig human install wa nay labad sa ulo pra s lan, sound ug vid drivers, ana b sad ang linux? naa bay compatibility probs ang linux ug ang gpu? amd b ko o intel?

been using ubuntu since 12.04 (currently running 13.04), I'm the kind of guy that likes to read the manual. will experience it more thanks

i just hope tana that if there will be a group it should atleast Linux in general kay boot hunahunaon there are more better alternative sa ubuntu out there...

guys.. could you give me some idea of an internet cafe set-up usin ubunto?

- can it see files over the network?
- can it run printers like epson?
- can i use an application similar to cafesuite? (software to manage computers over the network specially lock down of pc before adding up time for it)
