not exactly. we dont believe na in wearing white for 3yrs (2 cal yrs) if immediate family dies. but that doenst mean that we can wear red. it not because we believe that we are happy when we wear red but its our of respect for my dad who died jst 6 months ago as well as to avoid talks "hiam" from other chinese if they happen to see us in the mall.

to know cebu's chinese society, you have to look at the chinese temple (drank a lot of tea when i was there, kapoy lakaw back and fort). that temple represents cebu's chinese fraternal brotherhoods. It is a very close society. their brotherhoods are revered even higher than matrimonial ties.

you need a lot and lots of money to marry a chinese girl. they just want their children to have a better future and granted you have a chinese blood.

they sure are pretty looking. but a pinoy hybrid is much prettier.

u're talking about taoist temple rt? well ok na now coz they have that mini great wall. when i was a kid there were only 2 entrance the one on top and the one on the bottom. if u use the bottom ud be exhausted by the time u reach the main part. and oh did u knw they have a cave there? but they closed it up. the entrance is in the main temple . its under the table in the center. theres square part with a glass top was so fascinated by this coz the cave has some sort of tale thats why its covered. my dad knew of this coz accdg to him my grandpa was one of the designers of the temple and he used to accompany his dad dw.

when i was 14 my dad sent me to hongkong then eventually to shanghai to master mandarin. But when i was in hongkong my relatives made a good business with filipinos by reaping them off... selling their products at a high price....I often times questioned my parents about this when in contrary the're not comfortable associating themselves with filipinos....well.. my parents have a good minds in business.. they are always hunger for wealth....
