the answer is yes.. we are way way behind compare sa other asian countries.. come to think of it, grabe ang corruption dri sa pilipinas.. mao nah ang pinakadakong problema nga ang mga lider mag.una2x..
Probably yes, we are behind. But not way behind as in very much lagging behind other Asian countries. We are advancing, although slowly due to some constraints and oppositions of critics whenever an aspect in our society is modernized. For example, the plan to have automated polls next year is receiving criticisms from the opposition and the critics of the administration. If poll automation does not push through, then how can we advance and have a better electoral system?
But on other aspects, the Philippines is better in that protesters here are way less violent than those in Thailand. As regards corruption, our neighboring countries have their own records of graft and corruption. I think the Philippines' way of eradicating it is more effective in a way. Records of prosecution are better here in the Philippines.
wat r the parameters of being "way" behind then??^_^ we're still behind...we're not the "most" corrupt country, but we're still corrupt...we're less violent than neighboring nations, but still violent...we settle for second worst just because there is someone much worse...we settle for 2nd to the last, because we're not the last...
I think on the verge pa kay f im not mistaken, mura hapit na muapas ang vietnam in terms of economic growth sa philippines or kung di basin nalabwan nata nila and to think their country was ravage by war during the 1960's.. luoy na kaau ta sa pinas oi.. ang sad an.. kita ra gehapn mga tao kay kita man nag butang sa pwesto ang mga corrupt officials..
