Depends on how you use them or how you put it in your definition.. Dull means not interesting or no excitement.

Anyway, boycotting simple just abstaining or refraining, to stop. And from that article i think it's more like boycotting on buying their products as to refrain from supporting their ill behaviour towards their less fortunate citizens. I would rather describe it like boycotting is more like a sensible thing to do than patronizing (but hey as what I've heard, its impossible to attain).. who the hell patronize their mostly cheap-low quality if not fake products? If only there's other option or other country that could level with what they can offer, sadly there are none. - cheap it is, they always win.
