I am not a fan of Mike Rama and his karaoke singing at all but the arrogance of Tomas Osmeña takes the cake. Tomas was once a good mayor, maybe even the best, but not anymore. He has now shown his true colors. Blocking every move the Rama administration makes, even the ones that are obviously good for Cebu, is the height of arrogance. Blocking Rama's plan to pay off our city's debt that Osmeña himself incurred is takes the cake. Dako na kaayo siya ug na kwarta sa pag himo sa SRP nya karon dili niya gusto ma bayran ang utang nga siya ang ni utang? Pila kaha ka million atong bayran in interest alone every month? Kanang kwarta ha, pwede unta gamiton pag sulbad sa atong mga drainage ug garbage problems. Hasta ang baudget para sa garbage collection ug drainage, iya sad pa babagan. Klaro na kaau nga dili na angay ma balik sa pagka mayor si Tomas. Dili na ta pail ad. The only reason nga nag himo siya anang farmer's market and part time call center work is because he wants to be mayor again. Are these projects bad? No, in fact they are good. So let us support these projects but not vote Osmeña for mayor. He had his time and we are way past that now.

Rama is by no means perfect. Far from it. But at this point, he is a better alternative than Osmeña. Our best option is one last term for Rama, then mangita ta ug mas bata ug mas maau nga mayor nga bright sad....

I respect your opinion if Rama works out for you but I would prefer to vote for someone who has a brain than someone who forgets to bring it especially during an all executive (business) meeting and act like he was drunk.

Paying debts? There are business plans we call as short and long term. Even most successful businesses even such as SM and Ayala borrow money, set payment terms and stick to it.... because they follow the plan. This is what you call utilizing money you do not own to make more money in the long run. But if you have any proof na 'dako na kwarata si Tommy' please share it to the public and you would be our hero.

Let me remind you that budget has already been allocated before the start of the year for drainage, salary and even bonuses but yoru beloved Mayor already spent it all. I would suggest to verify the details yourself and post it here But spending money for items that it was not intended for (except if it was an extreme emergency) is not being a responsible mayor. But please prove me wrong with facts.

If would also suggest go back to what Rama promised backed before the last elections and please enlighten us to what extent was he able to fulfill those. And if your response is about the budget, I would check back on the items allocated/approved by the council on the yearly budget and was it spent as intended by the mayor.

Of course Tommy did these projects because he wants to become mayor again and doing it a year or less before the election is strategy as it makes him attractive to voters who wants to see results and still fresh on their minds. Duh!

Likewise, I respect your opinion also. So let's just agree to disagree. I used to be for Tommy also and I would even admit that he may have been the best mayor Cebu ever had ( emphasis on had, past tense), during his first two terms. But of late, he has shown his true colors and loyalty...and that is to himself and no one else. He has caused his party to block ALL initiatives of the Rama camp that they could block that would benefit the city, if it would make the Rama camp look good or if would enable them to spend some money and earn brownie points from their constituents.

If Osmeña really had the interest of the city at heart, he would support all good initiatives regardless of who proposed it. And he has no regard of who suffers from his brand of politics. He acts as if he is the only smart person in town and only he has good ideas. Yes, he may be smarter than Rama. But he is arrogant in the wrong way and he has a personal agenda. Rama admittedly sometimes makes us wonder if his actions befit that of a city mayor (hahaha), but at least, had the sense to surround himself with good, competent people. In his first term, I too wondered about his appearance of ineptitude and thought him to be stupid. I still don't think he is smarter than Osmeña but he is much smarter that we give him credit for and his heart is in the right place. He also has the better team so he get my vote in the next elections.
