As long as it's a transaction between two consenting adults, I don't see what's wrong with legalizing prostitution.
Notice that I never dragged the issue of morality or even what the church has to say about it. All I'm saying is if the authorities in the Amsterdam or the Netherlands for that matter is having a difficult time controlling crime that went along with the decriminalization [legalization] of prostitution even though its intended purpose was to limit crime operating behind it in the first place and regulate *** workers then how much more in our country where petty crime is still day by day reality where criminals (aware of the loopholes in the system) are getting more aggressive, creative and daring in committing various offenses?
As for the church influence. I'm Protestant but I do understand and to a point believe the Catholic's part in keeping the prestige by preserving the idea of being the so-called "Only Christian nation in Asia." Now if the "Only Christian nation in Asia" is at the same time the prostitution hub of South East Asia, that would make this country the biggest oxym0r0n in the South Pacific, surrounded by majorically Muslim nations that are ultraconservative.
it's used more by the nationals and locals than foreigners. the mistress persona is also fairly accepted or joked about in this society. legalize it? never gonna happen. it will stay underground for the upperclass and foreigners. Legalizing it will bring it and them in the open as well as cause a headache with the Church or STATE is it is.
ok mani na suggestion sa U.N, illegal selling of joys kay rampant na kaau, ang mga whore houses and other 6 denz (front only as beer houses, massage parlors etc...) dili lang open minded most nato gud, since catholic nation ta but we should open up, this could be talked and properly aligned sa senate regarding its rules and regulation..
and i think UN isnt dumb to suggest that to us without making a study to it.
