haha sakto ka bro. kahinumdun nasad ko sa katong radio station nga "Are you a true blue Cebuano? or just another wannabe?"

no offense lang sa mga call center workers pero they (not all) claim to be superiors among industries. tried working for 5 months diha sa IT park (pagka suspend sa akong passport kay kakitag away sa barko) mura jud kog ngilohan maminaw sa mga taw.

i worked with 40 different nationalities onboard pero di jud maka lupig sa akong 5 months experience as a call center worker.

mao nang i wouldn't encourage my daughter to speak fluent english kay basin di na nya ni maningkamot mahimong professional kay mag call center nalang.

i like the industry, i just dont like the people. (not all though)

OT: that is ironic bai.. diha naka nagwork sa barko, so kasabot jud ka unsa ka importante ang common Language. pasalamat nalang ta na giacknowledge sa taga US nga maayo ta moenglish. naa man juy mga OA bisan asa bai, but unsaon taman mao man ang trabaho nga daghan sa ato karon (& MOSTLY MAAYO ANG SWELDO). We can't stop progress bai (bisan hinay kaayo sa ato-a).

Colonial mentality can lead to brain drain. talk about a large scale of professional Pinoys working abroad kay maoy trend, maoy uso. what could happen to our country if tanan nalang manggawas?

dapat mao nay atong usbon. and by that we start with our language...the K-12 program

it promotes loyalty and acceptance.

I myself dont like being an OFW but since my profession requires me to work abroad mao napugos lang ko.

to tell you frankly i'd rather receive 100k per month salary in the PH than receive 300k yet away for a couple of months but question is asa man tag mo sweldo ana diri?

check the difference? other nationalities work abroad because of preference, we pinoys work abroad for consumption.

OT: haha example lang na bro ako lang gi generalize ang seabased salary and im not happy with it. imagine kada uli nako akong daughter a year older na and wa ko diha sa celebration.

you cant bring back your daughter to her cuddly years by the time moundang naka ug work. next time you'll know busy nasad kaayo siya sa iyang work and wa nasad siya time para nimo.

Yes We should start with our language indeed. pero unsa may ato i-start? Native or FILIPINO (tagalog base)? that is what we discussed here yesterday. Some folks said mas maayo ang bisaya(native) & my stand is mas maayo FILIPINO (& + perhaps have a BISAYA/Native subject). lahi-lahi og pagtan-aw but same target, ipataas ang LEVEL sa educasyon.

OT: recheck bai, Tongud sa globalization, tanan tao ninglangyaw. If you ever stop by china & vietnam you'll see a lot of people from the west nga nangita og work didto. because naglisod sad sila sa ilaha. K+12 will not solve that (medyo against man gud ko ani kay i dont si the point, except matabangan tong mga nag HALF DAy sa school - lahi sad ni nga topic..). Going back sa pinas bai. ma OT ta ani, but i disagree with K+12. Why? You mentioned we are the Biggest supplier of manpower in ASIA, bisan wa pay K+12. so what will K+12 really do? it is yet to be proven. if the govt start encouraging investors to invest in the phils, if the OLIGARCHS will not hinder this move, then perhaps we might have a slight chance. but hangtud wa pana, it is impossible & K+12 will only be a delaying device for our future WORKERS (workers bai ha, sad to say gamay ray businessmen ani) to find jobs. ALSO BURDEN sa ginikanan kay niadd ta og 2 years para sa eskwela sa atong anak (roughly 300K, depende asa nimo paeskwelahon imong anak). We all know our ECONOMY is not as good as what our Gov't is saying. if it was, then nindot ta kaayo atong panginabuhi karon & ubos ta unemployment rate & wala nagtubo ang mga OFW karon. one BIG reason why stable ang govt ron is tungod sa MILLION nga mga OFW & nagtubo pa everyday. reason taas ang PESO, is tungod sa kadaghan nga nisulod sa PINAS from the OFWs (& of course dili kana ra ang reason ha, pinaka dako lang na nga reason sad).

sorry bai, but i really can't see the point of having the K+12 except the failure of the govt to address the basic needs of our kids (& the people because of corrupt officials).

Kabalaka man tawn mo anang globalization uy na hagbay ra man nahitabo. Bisan sa wala pa ang internet, globally competetive na ang mga pinoy. Unsa man during spanish era pa mo gipanganak kay walay English subject pagskwela ninyo.

Ang mas maayo ninyo buhaton suportahi ang lakang sa dep.ed, kung naa mo nindot na alternative paghimo mo ug proposal. Kung naa mo daghan kwarta, donate mo ug pc sa mga public schools. Nagtan.aw man kaha mo sa kaayuhan ug pag.uswag sa kalidad sa atoa edukasyon.
