All CJ's are perceive puppets man jud kai they are appointed by the Presidents man but will just wait&see kung unsa jud labok ani CJ Sereno if she will tow the Palace line or not anyways the CJ's vote is counted as 1 only there are other Justices in the SC but we can't also discount the influence the CJ wields but anyways she can be impeach anytime if she will abuse the power that she holds so no worries for now........

IMO, it should have been Carpio. I was suspecting Abnoy also listened and put into consideration the inputs of some sectors like Mang Lauro Vizconde about the integrity of Carpio, and that could be the reason why he chose Sereno..
