THE Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) has approved the P.50 provisional fare hike for public utility jeepneys nationwide except in Soccsksargen, which did not seek a fare adjustment.

The LTFRB said the fare hike will take effect tomorrow, Wednesday, and will stay for as long as diesel prices remain high.

Jeepneys will be required to roll back the minimum fare once diesel prices go back to P45 per liter.

The transport sector all over the country has been asking for the fare hike due to continuous increases in the prices of petroleum products.

The transport sector asked the commuting public to understand the need for such fare increase. (Sunnex)

I agree nga mo dako ang sales ug mo daghan ang mga motor sa kadalanan but I disagree nga maka contribute sa traffic ang mga motorcycle. It's not the 2 wheels ang problema, ang naka 4 wheels nga pataka lang ug park, most of them gani mo hunong halos naa na sa tunga sa dalan unya mag hazard signal dayon. The size of a motorcycle is nothing compared to a 4 wheeled vehicle sa karsada.

yup, its true but if only pud dili sila musugat sa pikas lane. kung sugat sila, lihay ang auto sa pikas lane, makadamay sa 2nd lane nga auto. hunong siya, hunong silang tanan, aw traffic dayon kay tungod sa USA ka motor lang nga nisugat. Although pila ra ka seconds and difference, the time needed for a newbie driver to start moving forward will take another few seconds and another and another so.... traffic pero slight but still...
